I heard the creator of monero is a scammer and he's probably gone into hiding just like satoshi did... How true is this story?? Shy do people still hold the coin to such value?

Because it dont matter who started it. Since Monero is open source can its protocol get totally rewritten if there is consensus for that.  And in case of Monero a lot was rewritten, specially in 2015.

What is missing to Bitcoin now that Satoshi is not here? Nothing. You dont trust Satoshi. You trust the code that is written in the Bitcoin protocol.  If you like it then Bitcoin is your coin if you dont then no. That is how it is with open source projects.

Monroe is a very old coin. People believe this foot. Its market value is also very good. Do not drop down so fast. Investing money in it is beneficial.

Monero is an open-source, privacy-focused cryptocurrency. It was launched in April 2014. Monero tries to improve compared to Bitcoin with private functions.

I think Monero cryptocurrency is a good way to invest. Monero has a great potential to grow and become a popular currency. Every type of investment contains risks and every one needs to make their own research before buying.

Monero is a
-Secure
-Private
-Fungible
-Untraceable
No doubt, one of the biggest benefits of Monero is privacy. Power of blockchain usally increases security at the cost of privacy, but with monero's sophisticated privacy-centric technology, you get all the security benefits of the blockchain without any of the privacy trade-offs. Also it can't be hacked to steal funds, due to power of distributed consensus.

Monroe is the most ambitious project after Bitcoin. In April 2014, Monroe was created on the basis of CryptoNote, bypassing Bitcoin's design flaws, making Monroe more private, decentralized, and scalable. Monroe is currently the only cryptocurrency that hides the originator, the recipient, the transaction amount, and the transaction IP. The geek/hacker/darknet has a very high reputation. It is a cryptocurrency that is worth long-term investment.

It is one and most perspective anonymous coins and I consider that it is a must investing in it. The anonymity always attracts people.

I have a lot of trust in the Monero project, and many people have preferred Monero when they pay, and the number of users in the dark network Monero has exceeded BTC.

Monero is very good. I think Monero is a good choice for long-term investment. Its current value is still worth your continued investment. In addition, you can also look at Ethereum. Ethereum is also a bright altcoins.

Dear bitcoin community,

I recently started researching in altcoin and I tried to figure out which other altcoin is more used in sending money online (I think a traded currency shows that the currency will resist in the future and will grow) and I came to the conclusion that Monero is that coin.

Why Monero? I think it's pretty simple, Monero because I saw that everyone from the dark web asks for payments in Monero, and this leads me to think that Monero would be a good investment now because from what I understand, even Bitcoin has first massively traded on the dark web, and Monero came as a more anonymous alternative to the dark web and so it replaced the bitcoin there.

So, as the title of this thread says: Is Monero a Good Investment?

I have presented my theory, but what do you think?

Please expose your opinion to help me in making the final decision whether to invest my money in Monero or not.

I deeply appreciate your contribution on this thread.
Monero will be banned in the near future, look what is happening now with anonymous cryptocurrencies in the South Korea...

I think Monero is a pretty good coin and is one of the most popular. According to market capitalization, it occupies one of the leading places. One of its advantages is privacy, which is also very valuable.

I think Monero is not a very promising investment.  You can try investing in Monero for a long time.  But I would advise you to choose another coin.

As for me, Monero is a very good and safe altcoin. I can say, it is one of the safest cryptocurrencies for now. I would recommend investing in it. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq8rCkcimhY

Yes, monero is a good coin. I have previously analyzed a lot about monero, the total supply of monero is very small so the monero can reach $ 1000 or as high as $ 2000 if the price is pumped.

Try it, just do not enter immediately for the full amount. Best divide and invest immediately in several concurrent projects. So the chances of success will be greater.

Monero is one of the coins that its uses most resembles the plan for bitcoin when it first came out, with the way that the coins is mined and transacted and such. Monero is undoubtedly one of the best privacy coins out there in the market and it would not be a very long time before people start crowding to it seeing as bitcoin is becoming less anonymous. It is a good investment and you will make a lot of profit from it.

I would not advise now to invest in Monero.  There are better coins for investment.  It is better to invest in eth.

The road map on the official website makes it clear that there are still many positive changes ahead of the most conspicuous crypto currency, which will make it even stronger, the creators are constantly working on its development, a special role is given to simplicity and efficiency. Taking into account the active growth of interest in crypto-currencies in general, in 2018 growth is likely to reach $ 500.

Monero is the first privacy coin and it has gined so much hype and also market cap. I believe we all know Monero is very special because of its unique, that is high privacy altcoin, moreover, it is very famous because no one can trace out the the owner of Monero, so it is very suitable for us to hide our activities away from government, rightnow, the role of Monero can be small but i believe in the future.
Finally invest in monero is very reasonable.

I think Monero is a good investment coin for a long term, but I do not think it will grow very much in value.

I also think Monero is a good money to invest. Monero has a large community and this is also a potential e-currency after ETH. I will buy Monero right now and wait until the end of the year

A lot of negative news is about this coin. I would not venture to invest in it, especially for a long time

Monero certainly was a good investment. I don't know what would happen in the future but it was an amazing investment back when it was released. I used to be mining Monero for some time and earned some good amounts. Not sure if a tenfold can be seen in a near future but that train was certainly a fun one to ride.
