Hmm, I am glad to hear that. But I just want you guys to know that these days, there are a lot of scam coins. A lot of developer want to get a short-profit so they create a strange new Altcoins that will fool many people. That is why I do not really like some new Altcoins. There are Altcoin that going scam after get a lot of investors. There are Altcoin that the price is increasing but soon after that going down and disappear from the market. There are also some Altcoins who just trick us and do not really want to develop it correctly. So I think I should tell you guys to be careful and do not invest all your money into one coin.

Sadly, you are right. Most of the ICO are scams these days like you said. Hopefully, this will change soon. We are the ones that can change that. We, investors & bounty hunters determine the trends and the more we know how to spot scams the less they get attention. Give it a year at most, things will change drastically.

I encourage anyone thinking of buying to wait until 1.4 is released. But once (if) that happens the price will probably be $1-$2 higher than it is now. JBG (the lead dev) on the discord* said that they're now looking into bringing on an outside developer with C++ experience. Hopefully that will kill some of the FUD being spread around, I know it will quell some of my worries. Still lots more to prove, but I'm patient and I think it will pay off.

Anyone telling you with 100% certainty that this is a scam has ulterior motives, just as anyone telling you that Stealth Staking is 100% a sure thing also does as well. Do your own research, wait for more meaty releases, and make a decision on your own accord.

Also it's easy to prove a coin is a scam by looking at a years worth of development and release claims, it's not rocket science and it doesn't involve ulterior motives, it's just people not wanting to see scam projects, pretty simple isn't it?
You're right on stealth staking though, we only have "his word" to go on with this one.

Price was higher at this point yesterday vs today, my guess is it'll go down in to the 5k sat range today.

It's not a scam and it's not dying. Might as well pick some up while the price is cheap. That is what all the fudders wanted anyway, to pick it up cheap. Hell I don't care I'll buy some more while its down to and wait for the rebound.

Can't say i'm surprised.  The brainless shilling that went on for quite some time probably makes that a lot of people are facing severe losses now.  it might recover but i would be very carefull in buying the dip.  The fact devs have not been honest about their own background, rumours about copied code, etc are major red flags for me.

I think this is all far over-blown.  First of all, SpectreCoin is a community - its survival does not hinge solely on one or two developers.  Ultimately, I don't find most of the attacks that valid.  Any new code being written isn't going to be stored on Github - why would they do that?  When it's ready, it will be rolled out and added there.

I also wonder why people are so Hell bent on bringing it down.  I don't go FUD on all the projects that I am not invested in - or don't like.  My personal experience with this coin has been quite positive.  The wallet and staking has been quite user friendly.  Sure, it shares a lot with ShadowCash - why should this be a surprise to anyone, it's essentially a spiritual successor looking to improve on what was started.  While there is always risks investing in smaller projects, I think this one will be fine (in fact, I think it will thrive) in the long run.  I've been buying.

Exactly. Someone is going out of there way to spread FUD about XSPEC and drive the price down. The lead dev wasn't on discord for a week or so because he lost someone close to him which is perfectly understandable but they took that opportunity when he wasn't around to attack the project. And it was definitely coordinated and very low thing to do. XSPEC is a great project and will have a great year even after this FUD campaign. All that did was shake out those with weak hands anyway.

if you really trust the project, just buy it. if you doubt, use a little capital. maybe 4-5 % from your total capital. that thing can answer your curiosity. just make it simple

I don't believe this coin is has any problems and the current corrections thus not signify the end but provide opportunities for the new investors to come into the market. Spectecoin has a small market capitalization and those types of coins do have some wonderful price move time to time.
