OKEx and Poloniex stopped accepting deposits in ERC-20 tokens due to a vulnerability discovered.
Cryptocurrency exchanges OKEx and Poloniex reported the suspension of deposits in ERC-20 tokens
due to the recently discovered vulnerability in smart contracts.
BatchOverFlow bug allows hackers to generate huge volumes of tokens and translate them to normal
addresses. A lot of ERC-20 tokens can be subject to price manipulation because of this.
The exchanges decided to suspend deposits in the ERC-20 tokens until the bug is resolved.
The exchange also contacted teams of cryptocurrency projects that might be attacked, urging
them to check their smart contracts and take the necessary actions to eliminate the bug.
User facilities are safe, representatives of exchanges assure.
