We are only in three at the moment. Dev said that they will accept the first 20 pc/smartphones.

I installed BOINC on my smartphone and I leave it doing some computations by night while charging, no overheating and no battery drain. This is the best choiche.

1) Go to https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/login_form.php and create an account

2) Join the team https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/team_display.php?teamid=15215

3) Install BOINC app on your pc or smartphone and login with your username on Rosetta@home. If you are on smartphone you can set when you want the app to start computing, max temp, max cores, etc..

If you really want to support this coin, this is a mandatory step imho!

With so many coins, I can not imagine the value of every Newton coin with such large supply. Even with 1sts every penny is also high enough. lol

Would like more INFO. What is BOINC? And what does my phone do then? Im already mining with my pc (newtoncoin club)

BOINC exploit the unused computing power of your device and runs jobs for scientific research projects. I've been using this app for one year or so on my smartphone. You choose which projects to join and you are provided with "work units" computed by your smartphone and sent back to the server. It's kind of a sort of cloud computing performed by crowds. It seems that Newton Coin want to remunerate the work that until now we BOINC users have done for free.

However, there is already a coin addressing this topic, the so called GrindCoin. Maybe in the next future dev will tell us about the differences with that coin. Until then, go on with mining and join BOINC!

Take in mind that this thing is not connected with mining.
