I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out  that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters  immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.

To avoid price drop when exchange + attracts a lot of hunters to a bounty campaign with a small bounty pool, a project (ICO) should use Tokpie exchange to list its tokens. Check this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5050817.msg46919261#msg46919261

It depend on time you want to spend trying to get prifit from ICO tokens, if the project is very good, better to buy on pre ICO, but if the project is 50/50 and actively promoted, maybe better to buy after dump.

Depending on the quality of the ICO. If the ICO has a good future, I'm sure investors will be interested. But buying in an existing market is also good. Because there we can buy coins that we like and benefit for us. I think the current conditions make investors panic to sell.

I cant say a 100% which decision is most profitable for investor. Many times i saw that price after ICO was less than during ICO. But if you big investor with huge funds - you will not find needed volume for purchaising.

I think in 2017 it was better to buy doing the ICO. But now I think it is better to buy after the release. Ico doesnt work as it were before

I would certainly buy when the coin is already out on the stock exchange , now many projects do not go on the stock exchange and do not even reach this

I think it would be better if we all buy during the ICO as this will help to prevent extreme dumping of tokens which makes others incur some great loses. Also some bounty programs delay the tokens of hunters in order to prevent dumping so getting your token during iCO could give you a step ahead of that of hunters.

It depends on the market situation and the product. But for me, in this bear market it is better for me to buy the coin when it is already listed in the exchanges because usually the coins are being dumped.

I wish it were true, but it's very situational. You can buy only after appearing on the stock exchange, in the first days.

Of course, it would be better to invest in cryptocurrency already in existing projects that are on the market, but still it is more profitable to invest in ICO if the project is really good, I would probably invest without even thinking.

It is good to buy during ICO because you will receive some bonus tokens when you buy tokens during their pre-sale or ICO. Also you have the advantage to sell it quickly if the price gets pump or higher than the ICO price. Because the bounty hunters will receive their token after a month.

I can say buying at ico and in to the market is very risky. Buying in ico means you are investing to that project and believing to the potential of that token that it can give you a good profit in the future. And if you buy to market that means you just see the worth of that token because it become popular or because the value of that token increase.

Currently, the ICOs are performing very bad. September ICO Market Analysis by CoinCodex showed, that none of the ICOs had positive ROI in September, the best performing was Tolar which dropped by 45% when it hit the market. I would wait with ICOs right now and buy them after they hit the market, unless there's a one that's really hard to get into.

Recently, a lot of tokens fall in prices after going to the market and that is what is scaring a lot of people to buy tokens during ICO. But I have realized that if the team is good, they will find a way of buying back the tokens to increase the prices.

Good question... Couple of months and probably a year ago ICOs were a goldmine. It presented a great chance to pick up tokens for a ludicrously low price and hold them until listing for a guaranteed x3, x5 or sometimes x10 profits. I made some good profits from ICOs back then as I understood the game properly. Fast forward to this present day, the reverse is the case. Purchasing ICOs now is like flushing money down a pipe hole. The market conditions have meant only a handful of projects do well once they get listed. The best idea these days is to wait for a coin to get listed and dump to over 75% of ico price before buying in and holding for profits which may never come early. It has been working so far, just ensure you buy only coins with good prospects. Those ones take a shorter time to appreciate in value after the dumping.

Despite the general consensus that it's dangerous to invest in ICO's, I believe that any investment that shows significant signs of future increases value is worth taking part in. Reading potential investments is never easy, but the principles always stay the same.

The major question needs to be asked is:

Is it solving a big problem for a large amount of people? In the crypto realm, that means whether or not it can be used safely and securely.

There are more benefits to invest during the ICO, the main one being the tokens are way cheaper!

Do not buy in this bear market condition as the market running crash for a prolonged period of time. If you want to put your money simply select a good ICO having the best project and wait for the secondary market and buy.

Well, if you are afraid to invest in ico, then of course you will not get a lot of money compared to if you would invest in ico , but of course if you are afraid then buy at the exit to the exchange
