Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.
How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".

So far in my gambling career or involvement i didnt really come to a point on experiencing that "walk of shame" that you are mentioning here which i do believe that most gambling addicts do experience this on suffering too much consequences due to their bad decisions in life because of gambling.I have already picture it out and do see actual scenarios among to my friends where they are almost losing it all, money, family, assets because of gambling and i do put up in my mind that i wouldnt really reach that state no matter what which it is the reason why i do really have strong self control and management into my funds because im too afraid to face those consequences if i do a mistake.

I didn`t experienced a "walk of shame" like you did. I never play for all my money. I always have an "inviolable stock", which I do not use during the gambling. But I several times had a very strong desire to break this taboo. When I lost the money allocated to the game, my hands were scratching to take a stash. And for me it was a figurative "walk of shame", because I was ashamed of my weakness and my ridiculous arguments about the fact that I need this money to "recoup". It is unlikely that this feeling is like your "walk of shame", but it was terrible and I would not want to experience it again.

I experienced that walk of shame thing. Going home without anything left on my pocket because I've lost most of it in gambling. So far in my gambling career or involvement i didnt really come to a point on experiencing that "walk of shame"
If that is so then you are one of the luckiest gamblers in the world that never experienced this thing but you may want to try it right?

I haven't experienced it only because I don't go to casinos, if I am to play I play from the comfort of my room and my sofa. I usually like reading about sports betting tips so most of the time I play sport betting which rarely make you go broke unless you are super addicted and even sell your house and wife for placing a bet.
I feel sorry for you and that walk of shame but also feel good that I know you won't do it again.

I haven't experienced walk of shame because I always have my car. Although I walk out of casino empty handed a lot of times already. I also did that trick as well, left my atm at home because I can't control my emotions specially when I'm losing. I want to recover it back very bad that I have to withdraw and the next thing I know all my money is spent already and bankroll totally busted.

Once you experienced that walk of shame then you will able to realize on what you have done and on next time you will really avoid it because you do know already the feeling on having an empty pocket and going home without even a single cent into your purse. This would only happen to those people who do play on casinos but for online gambler that walk of shame wont happen. For online gambler they would only having that "SUDDEN RAGE". haha

Yes. I have but after a while you tend to go back once your pockets are not empty unfortunately. Usually this walk of shame is a lesson to be learned from but the draw from the feeling of addiction compels you to do it all over again. And you wonder why the casinos are so rich? Cause they rely on these type of people to forget and not learn from this vital lesson to learn from so not to do it all over again. But they do.

Yes, one time and I promised to myself that I don't want to experience that again. So I always have a taxi fare ready on the other side of my pocket. Well the first time it happened to me was like 20 years ago. I would consider myself a newbie that time in a traditional casino. So being a newbie, I don't have total control and eventual I was emptied. And the hardest part is that I went home around 7 a.m. already and just walking and thinking what has happened. Good thing that I'm still single at that time, but I pity myself. That's why I promised that it won't happen again.

I have experienced that, but for a friend, real bad feeling. This one time, we were going to the casino and sat on the slots. I hit the jackpot, also him at the same time on another slot machine, dead serious not a joke the only bad thing was that he lost all his $120 and i just picked them up and exited the place.

I have only heared stories about people who were involved in such situations. During the game they were very excited, since the beginning of the gambling session they were winning a lot and enjoying the prizes, but at some point they started losing money, but didn't lose the confidence and kept playing, hoping to recover the losses and exit the house with some profit, but it didn't happen and I think everyone knows what happened next, similar to what OP described.

I can feel you. . It happened to my dad when i was only 12 years old. My grandmother asked him to sell something in the city so we could have something for dinner. Night came he didnt returned home yet and we were waiting for him. He finally arrived at 11pm when grandma and i were already on bed, saying “ma i was misguided, i been in gambling and i lost all the money.” I saw in his eyes how ashamed he was in what he did.

Can't say it was a walk of shame, but sorta. I did lose a lot of BTC back in the day. Although at the time the price of a bitcoin was just pretty low of about $100 to $300, I forget. But thinking about it now, that could have been a lot of money right now. The reason why it was not a walk of shame for me is because I was just gambling at home with online sports books. So there was no walking involved.

It happened to me...but usually I do this "walks of shame" alone, I avoid everyone when this happens. But when I walk alone my walk of shame I feel terrible! Everyone should only gamble with extra money they have.

It’s usually the thoughts that runs through ones head that makes the walk of shame very annoying, there would be so many thoughts about what you could have used the money that you just lost to do and it’s most infuriating as well.

(Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)
It happened to me :/ walking home without any left on me. Well it was my fault and I'm with my friend who are betting in real life and we are like partners in crime. But it was still quite not that bad like others who literally have nothing. When other gamblers knew that we had nothing left anymore and we don't know on how we will go home they gave us some bucks for the fare for the first transportation, it wasn't enough to go home but we are still thankful by that time because its better so that our long walk will be cut with a few kilometers. There's also another experience but its not related to gambling, I walked home with a shame when someone robbed my wallet and phone from my bag even if I'm a guy it really made me cry when I got home.

I lost 8 bitcoins total when 1 btc was worth around $12. That's probably my biggest "walk of shame". Smaller gambling losses hurt a lot more. It may not be the monetary amount that is most painful but rather believing strongly that you'll win, only to have those great expectations be mercilessly crushed.
On the flipside it might be a postive thing. Many athletes console themselves in defeat by rationalizing it as being a greater learning experience than victory or believing that everything happens for a reason. I suspect many gamblers go through a similar experience when they lose. Some famous celebrity gamblers like Vegas Dave admit they've underwent counseling and attending gambling addiction group therapy sessions before they managed to make money gambling on sports, which could indicate that things can get even crazier.

We do have our owned experiences about gambling loses, Me, I didn't, as I don't go to casino but I lose big money playing online, I was very eager to play dice using a exchange site where alts can be use to play, haven't notice that I already loses everything inside my wallet it's really a big amount even btc only worth 700$ back then, after realizing my mistake I didn't bother to come back to that site and I really tried not to use my hard earned money again in any gambling, instead of playing I just manage to study trade and earn decent coping up in other form.

I feel you OP,this is what happen if the eagerness to win comes with greediness,in one point of life I experienced this when after withdrawing my work payments in 2 weeks some friend came to ask me to play in casino, since i have good bucks in hand i go with them and upon playing i feel confident to take home big winning because since the start i. Am luck.but then after realizes i am losing more than half of my money but again confidence occurs my mind until i found out that empty wallet in mine.

This is a normal thing to happen to every gambler once a while, it has different results for some. While many end up gambling as hey have nothing left and some end their lives. Those who survive it and have money they realise it's an experience to be careful and so they make changes. I have had this experiences multiple times when I was starting but gradually it passed away and I became more stronger that's how one learns.
