Yes, one time and I promised to myself that I don't want to experience that again. So I always have a taxi fare ready on the other side of my pocket. Well the first time it happened to me was like 20 years ago. I would consider myself a newbie that time in a traditional casino. So being a newbie, I don't have total control and eventual I was emptied. And the hardest part is that I went home around 7 a.m. already and just walking and thinking what has happened. Good thing that I'm still single at that time, but I pity myself. That's why I promised that it won't happen again.
It is happy to see people talking about the hazards of gambling. This is not healthy for us not in terms of metal health and not according to financial health. Gambling always eats you up as this demand much money from you. And worst thing about it is, the house owners, they are earning more than you and from you. You become the victims of their profit by losing your own money.

I haven't gone through that but once I have lost almost all of my money overnight which I have earned online by doing different heavy works for 1 month in head and tail game. I can't sleep for next few nights because of shame on myself, I was living alone but the feeling of regret was killing me.
Finally I get out of those gambling addiction.

Losing everything that you earn on a simple probability game is insane. Walk of is not even enough if ever this kind of scenario to me. Imagine the things you can do for that money especially if you have family relying on you. I salute those gamblers that can play and lose hard earn money just on gambling.

Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.
How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".
Lol. There's also a thread about this here in this section and i didn't think anyone in bitcointalk would actually be that crazy to bet his last money. Fortunately for me it hasn'u come to that point and i don't think i'll have the audacity to do that. Lessons learned dude

You can only hope that the experience was powerful enough to make you reconsider the choices you'll make in the future. If you've hit rock-bottom so to speak, it can be a great motivator to finally take your addiction seriously.
Not that it makes quitting any easier, it just helps to give you the jump start you need to finally do something about it. I hope you can really do something about your addiction and that you don't relapse.

Well In the beginning I kind of felt sad or slightly frustrated because I lost my gambling money, and I realized that I only felt that on the occasions that I was spending more that I could afford to lose. Once I started creating strict bankroll management rules, I never experienced anything like that again. I could lose all my gambling money, but it was just that, money that I put apart to gamble, and I know that money would probably be lost anyway. I would have fun with friends, and it was always a good experience either I lost or win some money at the end.

I do not ever feel shame everytime i experience losses because i treat gambling as my pass time and not a job to earn money, yes i want to earn but that is secondary reason why i do gambling.

No, I haven’t. First because I hardly ever go to land-based casinos. Then, because I only bet tiny parts of my budget or bankroll, and, finally because my budget for gambling is only a small part of my total budget.
I hope people experiencing a walk of shame learn a lesson, like OP.

We are the same as here I never experienced that walking shame in my past gambling moment. I never go to live casino I don't have much enough time to go there I must go to online gambling site because all day I am in work. I remembered my father told me that he was losing everything because of gambling he went back home with a sad face because he loses everything he brings money and that gambling is fighting cock gambling.

I know how devastating and saddening it is to be in such position. Despite the shame in such experience, I hope that this motivated you to move forward and learn the value of self control. We all are humans here and we make mistakes, the most important thing now is that we learn and we bounce back from that experience, hoping to make us better and more resilient. As for the "walk of shame", I myself did not have any personal experience as such, but I've experienced being talked to by an old man at the casino asking if I have some spare money for him to borrow as he has nothing left. He even told me that I could have his watch just for some money. I don't know if he'll use it to play again, but I am hoping that no one ever experiences such events that people are giving out their own possessions just because they lost all the money they had in one night.

Yes mate we had different interpretation on what you called "walk of shame" and mine was like this I've been really hooked to gambling before that even my husband can't controll me to stop playing. One night I got home very late and I thought that my husband was not yet home since the lights outside of our house was still turned off when I opened the door I can't open it because my husband put something that I can't open the door ,I kept on knocking the door but he really did not listen so I still tried to knock and shout hoping that he will listen to me. I already disturbed our neighbors and the worst was i slept outside and all of my neigbors was talking about me in the morning....

I feel you OP,this is what happen if the eagerness to win comes with greediness,in one point of life I experienced this when after withdrawing my work payments in 2 weeks some friend came to ask me to play in casino, since i have good bucks in hand i go with them and upon playing i feel confident to take home big winning because since the start i. Am luck.but then after realizes i am losing more than half of my money but again confidence occurs my mind until i found out that empty wallet in mine.
I do believe mostly people regret didn't stop when they are actually up and get enough money to buy a good drinks and have some other fun besides gambling. In the end it's always ended up so bad for you , you supposed to hold $100k by now but as always you did something stupid causing the whole fun burned with the profit you've got. Classic story.

So far i didn't have experienced like this the moment i started gambling.I really became addicted before but i cannot experience a walk of shame happened to me.I may lose a bigger amount but it never reached to an extent where i need to only walk walk to be home just because my fare have been lose too.

I have only heared stories about people who were involved in such situations. During the game they were very excited, since the beginning of the gambling session they were winning a lot and enjoying the prizes, but at some point they started losing money, but didn't lose the confidence and kept playing, hoping to recover the losses and exit the house with some profit, but it didn't happen and I think everyone knows what happened next, similar to what OP described.
Such people are those who do not have any control on them self and just want to earn as much as possible rather than thinking that what they have won even they can easily lose out that amount too. But its a common mistake which many do it and then regret over it later. These people should stay away from gambling because it is a game which requires a good self-control because getting emotional can put you in big loss. There are many circumstances when you are going in loss continuously but waiting for one more second is going to get you more than what you have lost, but people with weak hearts back our from the game. Even those who have good control should stay away from this awful game because it is regret.

Honestly, lots of times already especially when I was still a student. Since the only source of funds is my allowance, then once it was busted no way I can get have a money again for period of time. But for the amount involved, it's not quiet a lot but back then, it's kind of decent amount to me since like I said, I have no other source of funds. Damn I remember those days where you will go home empty. And what the funny thing here? Im walking home with my head looking at the ground expecting I can pickup a money somewhere lol. But that not leads me into crazy activity just to get my loss money back. Regret yes, but on the other hand that didn't stopped to me play as sometimes the output is good.

As i give my own interpretation about walk of shame. I would preffere that everyone had a shame fear and so anxiously to anything else. We cannot deny the fact that we are shame because of too much worry on what happening when for coming days.

NO, not yet. That's odd if you will allow yourself go home with total zero on your pocket. Only a person that is careless and reckless will do such thing as going home without anything left. It's fine to me to go home as a loser but I'm still careful and I can't depend on others with my carelessness. If ever I'll be in this type of situation it's okay for me as long as my house is nearby.

There are just some people that can't control themselves and just gamble every penny they have in their pockets. Even if it would be risk their only way to get home. Guess I would say that is already tell tale signs that the person is already addicted to what he is doing. That small voice in their heads telling them that they can walk away with more than just cab money.

Regret do always comes in the end but those things would be wiped out once you have committed wins again on playing gambling which it would wipe out and you will forget those hardship you had experienced since the situation did turn upside down then you will think off that it isnt really bad to completely stop gambling after all inspite on committing mistakes all over and over again. You will surely stop if you dont have already the money to spend on where comes to a point that you didnt even have the money to buy your own food.
