Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.

How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".

Honestly, lots of times already especially when I was still a student. Since the only source of funds is my allowance, then once it was busted no way I can get have a money again for period of time. But for the amount involved, it's not quiet a lot but back then, it's kind of decent amount to me since like I said, I have no other source of funds.

Damn I remember those days where you will go home empty. And what the funny thing here? Im walking home with my head looking at the ground expecting I can pickup a money somewhere lol. But that not leads me into crazy activity just to get my loss money back.

Regret yes, but on the other hand that didn't stopped to me play as sometimes the output is good.
Regret do always comes in the end but those things would be wiped out once you have committed wins again on playing gambling which it would wipe out and you will forget those hardship you had experienced since the situation did turn upside down then you will think off that it isnt really bad to completely stop gambling after all inspite on committing mistakes all over and over again. You will surely stop if you dont have already the money to spend on where comes to a point that you didnt even have the money to buy your own food.

So far in my gambling career or involvement i didnt really come to a point on experiencing that "walk of shame" that you are mentioning here which i do believe that most gambling addicts do experience this on suffering too much consequences due to their bad decisions in life because of gambling.I have already picture it out and do see actual scenarios among to my friends where they are almost losing it all, money, family, assets because of gambling and i do put up in my mind that i wouldnt really reach that state no matter what which it is the reason why i do really have strong self control and management into my funds because im too afraid to face those consequences if i do a mistake.
I never did as well and the closest I ever ended up in such situation was even online when I thought I have gotten it right and then ended up losing everything.

I was at home but I only gave my wife that LOOK OF SHAME after she warned me. She even made matter worst by laughing at me throughout because I told her I found some strategy and once I am done with the house edge, we are going to be made, but I guess the house edge got done with me first.

NO, not yet. That's odd if you will allow yourself go home with total zero on your pocket. Only a person that is careless and reckless will do such thing as going home without anything left. It's fine to me to go home as a loser but I'm still careful and I can't depend on others with my carelessness. If ever I'll be in this type of situation it's okay for me as long as my house is nearby.

There are just some people that can't control themselves and just gamble every penny they have in their pockets. Even if it would be risk their only way to get home. Guess I would say that is already tell tale signs that the person is already addicted to what he is doing. That small voice in their heads telling them that they can walk away with more than just cab money.
The question is that walk of shame thing did happened to you? Those things that you mentioned are normal for gamblers, control of emotion, pennies in the pockets and etc. Addiction is the real cause why a gambler will be ending up to go home with a walk of shame.

I did not experience it but i have many friends and relatives that not only to experience walk on shame as they will go home on foot but they will not able to eat in a day because they all lose the money in gambling but even do it happen many times to them still they did not quit gambling. An addiction in which only death can make them to stop this vice.

I haven't experienced it only because I don't go to casinos, if I am to play I play from the comfort of my room and my sofa. I usually like reading about sports betting tips so most of the time I play sport betting which rarely make you go broke unless you are super addicted and even sell your house and wife for placing a bet.

I feel sorry for you and that walk of shame but also feel good that I know you won't do it again.
It is actually a huge shame and I can imagine how he must have pictured himself and his life in general to have made that his last. You know there is this feeling sometimes that you will just look at yourself and just imagine how crazy you must have been to have gotten to that position.

I have never experienced this myself but I tried putting myself in his shoes to imagine how he must have felt this particular day and that must have been terrible.

If you experience this thing then that’s should be the time for you to realize how bad gambling is. Its an eye opener for everyone of us, its really sad that people fall on this kind of addiction but its not too late you can still do better but make sure to do the right thing this time.

It’s usually the thoughts that runs through ones head that makes the walk of shame very annoying, there would be so many thoughts about what you could have used the money that you just lost to do and it’s most infuriating as well.

I experienced a walk of shame but figuraly. Like you said it were my thoughts killing me. After a big loss, I got myself into such a failure, considered myself weak and unable to recoup and return the money. I kept thinking about what I could do with this money if I had restrained myself and did not start playing. It was terrible. The fact that I blamed myself was even worse than the condemnation of my friends who kept repeating the phrase "We told you so."

Well, that's not happened to me yet because I'm not playing gambling outside mostly I played at the gambling site, but it seems like happened to me when was my balance zero and nothing left to me. But walking with shame does not happen to me.
In this situations, you must have a self-control to avoid that scenario, set amount that you are willing to lose and spare money in your pocket.

Grin Your walk of shame is really one of a kind, I am not a crazy gambler to the point of betting everything on me, so I have never experienced any incident like this before, but while trying to picture all that you said and how your face must have been like after walking all those distance and getting home to see your kids awake and looking at you like some loser daddy, I can imagine what it must have been like for you.

I experienced that walk of shame thing. Going home without anything left on my pocket because I've lost most of it in gambling.

So far in my gambling career or involvement i didnt really come to a point on experiencing that "walk of shame"
If that is so then you are one of the luckiest gamblers in the world that never experienced this thing but you may want to try it right?  Grin
I wonder how you guys really must have allowed your emotions to have gotten over you to not have been able to control the impulse and ended up betting everything. I am not sure I can ever experience something like this, since I only gamble the stipulated amount I want to gamble with and once that is out, then I am out. But walking home in shame, which is one pretty huge one. That must have been a terrible long walk for you and the OP.

I have only heared stories about people who were involved in such situations. During the game they were very excited, since the beginning of the gambling session they were winning a lot and enjoying the prizes, but at some point they started losing money, but didn't lose the confidence and kept playing, hoping to recover the losses and exit the house with some profit, but it didn't happen and I think everyone knows what happened next, similar to what OP described.

I've heard of similar stories as well. I believe that once you've reach this point, a gambler has reached their peak and if they won't stop, they may fall into addiction. To be able to use up their money to get home is already a bad sign. It's a good thing they haven't brought a car otherwise it's possible that they would even include this with their gambling. A walk of shame must be a really humiliating experience but if a gambler still continues even after experiencing this it's either they're crazy enough to think that they could recover what they have lost or they are already crazily addicted.

Walk of shame is because you lost more then you can afford to lose. Now you know that blaming is waiting you when you go home to your family.
Next time simply take just some money with you and you will not lose more then you can, there will be no walk of shame, you had fun gambling and everyone is happy.
Walk of shame is not just when you lose in gambling, when you lose money, other actions can lead to this too, you need to know that, that is what kind of man you are and to know what you can do or not. Don't put yourself in situations where you can regret later, think about you do something and you will never have to walk on path of shame.

I experienced also this thing, I'm broke that time because all my money are gone for just an hour and to the point that I have to call for my friend to pick me up because of what happened. This is what happen when your greed takes you, from this experienced i learned to set things before I make decisions and don't ever let your emotion takes you.
You gambled at a casino no wonder you lost big time there isn't any chance all those results at casinos are real they are well staged and fixed
Plus even if you make profit the house edge is super high instead it's better if you gamble online it's fair and the house edge for most sites is as low as 1% , don't end up on a online casino you will regret it

sometimes gambling brings someone to ignorance, I often wonder why so many people have such crazy greed. because it will only lead us to bankruptcy. it's happened a lot and lots of examples for this problem. perhaps we should learn from many other people's experiences

As far as I am concerned that cannot be labeled as a walk of shame. Unless you have to put a signboard that you were walking because of being addicted to casino and has no money left for your fair.

Tho it cannot take the reality that you have lost your money because of gambling which is normal. It also happens to me before good thing tho is that the casino is not a miles away from my home so i just took it as a part of my daily exercise lol

I feel lucky to not have experienced the same! I have been gambling once in a while but I never let small or big wins hook me up with it. I have always been very careful of my actions because I am financially independent which is for me a very good thing; I take it as an advantage actually. Nevertheless, my inexperience on it does not make me feel for you anything less. I hope you get wiser the next time you indulge yourself in another gambling spree, if I may call it that way. You have to be responsible for your own acts, as you yourself have earlier indicated that you already have a family to support. I will not stop you from gambling because I sure know you have already learned from it anyway. Always take the lessons with you wherever you go, that is all you will hear from me. Such motherhood statements but it sure lingers when time comes you truly need some pushing.

I have seen many gamblers like that they are not that shy in showing us but I think on their own they feel so terrible they feel ashamed especially to their love ones or to their husband or wife. Money is really important in this world and sometimes they are fighting because of money matters.

No doubt money is love for everyone out there who belongs to human family. Either you are poor or rich, black or white, Asian or European or African, you need money to live in this world. Gambling can never provide you any chance for winning some money. You are open to a loss stack that adds to your money every time and then you see your investment going away from you.

I think it happened to me when I was in High School I lost all of my money in a bet ,
We played DOTA back then and we always manage to win but in a certain time we go to one of our School mates place to gamble and my team ended up losing .
