The future is wow...Wownero is a fork of the private cryptocurrenty Monero with two major changes:- A capped emmision that disallows infinite coin creation

Wownero is a fairly launched coin with no premine - it was announced here and on twitter, IRC, and reddit weeks ahead of launch, it launched with optimized miners for CPUs as well as AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. It's not a fork of another blockchain, and it has a long and relatively flat emission curve. With its own genesis block there is no degradation of privacy due to ring signatures using different participants for the same tx outputs on opposing forks. It is also the first cryptocurrency to use bulletproofs to reduce tx size on mainnet. And it is now solo-mining only since July of 2021:

I'm planning to launch with the modified PoW that Monero will hardfork to in a few weeks, but we'll see if I have time to add that. Otherwise vanilla cryptonight. |

I think it's better to wait until Monero audit is complete. If sumo merges bullets and then audit finds a major issue, they would have some sumo size egg on their face. Wownero will likely launch with min (and maybe max) mixin 7/ring size 8, with relatively high fees to prevent spam, so I think it's ok to wait a few months for bullet proofs and potentially higher min mixin. |
