it can be caused by many people who sell their altcoin and can also be due to the bitcoin price fall then on the altcoin price fall too, usually the altcoin price drops greater than the reduction in bitcoin prices

One of the main reasons is still the connection with bitcoin. Falls one-pulls another. In the future, perhaps this situation will change, but not yet.

why every mid year altcoin is always cheap.
I think the current dip is caused by two factors: 1. Binance API fail 2. MtGOX guy selling coins for 400M. But the marker seems stable around 9K and alts seems to get a slight recover. Oh, issue of binance hacked? Make market go down? Much of the money was lost when the binance was hacked. Approximately 20 billion dollars were stolen and the investors which didn't pull the funds in the proper time to their wallets are now begging for their rightly deserved money that is actually theirs. That situation has influenced a market very much. Just remember the what chaos has arisen when the Tether was revealed as the back support for the Bitcoin buys. The market was also in the disorder situation but like in the previous falls market will recover and the best time to invest is now. |

My first reason is the price of altcoin depends on the price of bitcoin or ethereum,
If the price of bitcoin down can be very certain altcoin prices also fell,
People's belief in altcoin is rather low compared to bitcoin or ethereum

There are some reason for altcoin price Down.
Firsty: Bitcoin price (Going down)
Secondly: Binance Hacked issue
Bitcoin price now $8,965.19 It will rise after few months, Then I think price (altcoin price) again pump.
Bitcoin is the most matter for altcoin affect.

The only reason is what happening to bitcoin. Whenever bitcoin price falls, altcoins prices fall too and altcoins price fall is usually bigger than bitcoin.
After bitcoin reached highs and went on correction then alts mooned in december. Expecting same movement in future. So what you said is depends.... so every December altcoin will be its high price? but why every March until August the price of altcoin down? probably because in March to August most investors take / withdraw the funds they invest, because that month there are many big days |

Maybe because of the rumored binance got hacked? is it time for us to buy altcoin?
Ofcourse this is a chance to buy a cheap coin and instant profit when it recovers. why every mid year altcoin is always cheap.
It is not mid year yet and it is not always cheap just a coincidence. |

There are several reasons.
1.Sometimes big whales want to get the prices low they sell heavily their investment demand decrease prices down.In this case they again buy at low rate to earn more profits.These are tactics employed by them.
2.There are regulations news,ban news when these news are at climax usually prices are down.
3.Govt and many other renowned businessmen give heavy money to social media to spread negative news to discourage crypto world.
4.Binance exchange was hacked and withing short span a large amount was withdrew.
One another point to ponder is that all of these coins are correlated with BTC,when BTC price goes up other alcoins also go up and vise versa.

As what i have observe the main causes why altcoin was down its value because the main coins which is bitcoin was down also.Second was many of inveators right now dumping their crypto coins earnings. |

Even Bitcoin's value is dropping, so probably it affects also the value of altcoins. Yes, it is definitely a good time to buy coins since the value is dropping, but as what as I can observed, it will still drop. So, let's take the opportunity to buy coins.

So that when prices of bitcoin varies, altcoin prices will be affected.
like for example when bitcoin price go down, many will trade their altcoin for bitcoin because they know that it will recover soon and will gain profit, and in turn will affect prices of altcoin.
I believe that is the reason behind the line that prices of alts are closely tied up with that of bitcoin

Yep! I believe this is the cause of it all. You pretty much have explained it to bits of pieces how exactly altcoin prices go down and what affects it. This is the same scenario when somebody would say that due to community support, after all trading coin for something else means that member of that community has transferred to another |

Prices reaction to the fources of demand and supply is usually normal in the crypto currency. The price of altcoins are on the downward trend at the moment because Bitcoin is currently facing a lot of trouble and they react negatively as it happen to Bitcoin.

As, the supply is a limited phenomenon or some certain supply will come in future in the cryptocurrency so the demand and supply relation is affecting the cryptocurrency market for the price down or increase. Most of the time the perceiveness of the investors or the traders also affecting the market.

There are many reason cause the price of altcoin down especially bitcoin which is :
- Bitcoin price goes down very bad because it's said that there something do with mtgox guy that sell his btc worth $400 M so bitcoin down makes all alts
going down badly, many people panic and sold their alts for bitcoin, sold bitcoin into fiat
- Binance API failed so the rumors is binance has been hacked ( i don't if that's true ), but I heard that it's all clear now
- the last one maybe about G-20 Summit because it said that there will be talking or discussing about new cryptocurrency regulation (especially bitcoin). So
many people waiting for the update about it.
correct me if I'm wrong. Many anyone can tells other reason.

because of FUD that exchange in the japan will be closed and binance hacked that why the price of bitcoin dropped. and altcoin drops because of bitcoin. most of altcoin depends their prices to the value of bitcoin |

It's not cheap, some coins were overpriced now it's a correction. We are in a bear market, don't expect 4 digits ETH and 1 digit Ripple.  It will be like that until trend changes, that takes time. |

Money is spent just to drag down the price so they can buy the cheaper coins. Sometimes you just can't trust these big bitcoin companies its just them that created these news to play the smaller investors. If you panic and sell the tokens you hold, you definitely lose the money you have. People were holding tokens even those tokens that were created by disappointing team.
