The reason everything is dropping. People are scared SEC & The FCC will shutdown exchanges, ICO's and anyone not following securities laws that now also apply to crypto.

I think the main reason is the sharks in the crypto market. They have the power to decide the price of the altcoins. So they can make a lot of profit from the trading and increase and decrease the price of the altcoins. They make small traders fear because of the cost of going down and forcing them to sell all their coins to secure their assets. and the sharks would buy all the coins at low prices and sell them at high prices.

The information you provide is correct that the news affects the current decline. I hope everyone can be calm and patient to deal with this and I am sure the market will recover in the next few days.

I believe that this is just manipulation. This is done to ensure that the market was panic sale and people in a panic were selling their crypto currency. At this time, large players are all buying at a low price.

Thanks for sharing, I hope the news would not make people to panic, it seems like it is at the wrong timing, the price were suppose to go up
but it was messed up with this news. Anyway, I think we should be more stronger now as there will be more bad news that will come and whales
will surely find ways to create FUD to cause big panic.

I agree with you, they are the one who controls the market price and they are the reason of people who panic selling when theirs a big dump going on.

I agree to this but even if they try to shut down exchanges, they cant stop crypto to take over fiat money. Crypto is a future it will take some more time world to accept it

I think these news for altcoin may not be a good news, for the bitcoin, however, may be a good news, because it means more money flowed into the currency, and altcoin may lose their value.

You forgot about the binance news and the Mt Gox dump.

Anyways we're just in a really unfortunate position at the moment with all this news coming in at around the same time. Though today we did recover on average around 5-10% for most cryptos listed in the top 100.

BTC has found a floor at $9k, ETH around $700. Not going to go under those figures any time soon.

There's similarities between the operations of the foreign exchange market and the crypto market. News often affect their behaviour as can be seen in the prevailing crypto market situation. But I am not always moved by this because I believe that it is normal as the market will soon recover.

Eternal growth of the market can't be. The market was already saturated. But I think, in the fall we will see good growth again.

News is indeed very powerful when it comes to influencing the prices of assets. I believe that this is not just any other black propaganda, but a legitimate problem of each government since they are getting their funds from taxes while cryptos are stopping them from doing so.

Thanks for the provided links, I was very surprised at the position of the U.S. regulator, which makes such statements. Is it right to invade the free market?

If that would be a serious reason to dump cryptocurrencies, then they are actually still too high priced. No, look half a year ago, where prices of the cryotos were. Bitcoin was under 6000$; at beginning 2017 even only at 900$. Same on all other cryptos. So I can't admit, that "everything is down". But nevertheless the news is interesting, although it wont have a big  influence on longterm prices.

For me, I think everything is going down due to Bitcoin's drop.
We all noticed that Bitcoin is the carrier of the crypto market due its value pairing is bitcoin:Altcoin and not USD so everything will be going down and drop when Bitcoin is dropping.
FUDs and fake news are always the reasons behind of every crypto market dropping but the good thing is crypto market is always recovering every after few days of the dip and that's the fact.

Hmm, I think pretty much the drop we had not long ago is influenced by the correction it's supposed to happen after such a bull run.
Myself for example, never heard of those regulations till now, maybe the big whales are scared.
