This seems not new after facebook bans the advertisements of crypto-related services on its platform now google followed and this will take effect in June.

ads for the following will no longer be allowed to serve:

-Binary options and synonymous products
-Cryptocurrencies and related content (including but not limited to initial coin offerings, cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency wallets, and cryptocurrency trading advice)

Seems coinzilla and cointraffic are happy with this news since most crypto related services/sites/projects will move from google ads to this platforms. This might take a huge effect to the market or maybe will not. What do you think about this one?

There is always a silver lining to every cloud. At least that will put an end to all the phishing site adverts that Google always refused to delete.

I really hope that this would be the case indeed, but I'm a bit doubtful.
Most crypto-based ad networks don't really have enough publishers to be able to compete with Google, this isn't suddenly going to change with Google banning crypto-related ads.

It's pretty sad that now two of the biggest advertising networks have banned all crypto-related advertisements. It's probably less expensive to ban them all than it is to moderate all ads.

That's also the thing here, but I guess time after time this ad networks will get more and more publishers.

But seriously they should not ban crypto ads, but regulate all the scams, phishing links that can be shown on the SERP and those Ponzi schemes and obvious scam ads in there ad network.

Banning and regulating scam ICO and ventures isn't at all easy be it for government or Google ads. I think ICOs are the main reason that most of the countries are planning of shutdown. The scam problem has multiplied due to this. Regulations in crypto sphere requires lot of resources and time. Added to that these heavy manipulation of the market has made cryptocurrencies a risky trade and thus has brought it in negative light. So, such moves from big and reliable companies was inevitable.

News such as this has always affected the market, and this mist certainly will. But of course, things will return back to normal.
The cryptocurrency market is still very much young and there are scams lurking at every corner. This step by Google is good (in one way, but bad for the genuine ones).
Either way, hope good things come out of this.

The market has indeed been depressed to today on this news. However, now there's a positive story to ignite the rally:

I do not necessarily see the point of banning all cryptocurrencies. They can make stricter rules, checks and so on to prevent scams. By banning it they also end up losing a lot of money.

i believe all this ad-ban-drama is happening thanks to ICOs.
there is always someone who is going to ruin everything for everyone else. and this time it is ICOs and the fact that a lot of people have been scammed through them. and as far as i know the fund raising like this is not exactly legal either.

Thank you to ICOs, Thank you to All Crypto-Scams and Market Manipulations and congratulations to Coinzilla and Cointraffic  Cheesy
These ban actions are showing that the Crypto-World re under control and can't be really controlled or regulated. Let's see and watch how the future will look like.

We will overcome this one too. Scams are present in adds and that is not a good thing. With upcoming regulations, witch and other witches will be separated from real valuable projects that will have their space it adds.

Google's and Facebook's recent bans for crypto ads strikes against all crypto startups, that's not nice.
Nothing to do with ICO scams, they just beg for govs, and are afraid of new tech challenging their multi billion corps.
Now they have effectively made it extremely hard to get new customers from wider audience for any promising crypto startup.
I really hope that there emerges real alternatives for both, FB & Google sooner than later.
I hope also that PayPal gets real alternative soon from crypto community.

Yeah, ICO is the main thing in this case. People loosing too much money by investing in ICO's and Google can't check is it ICO legit or not. So, easiest solution - ban them. Well, even theymos don't accept ICO advertisements on Bitcointalk.
But legit business will suffer from this ban - exchanges, wallets, news websites and etc.
Bitcoin advertising networks like Coinzilla or Cointraffic are happy about these news. But now advertisers will have more difficult times to reach big audience. Mainly bitcoin/crypto related are using these networks, while using Adwords you can reach potential customers/investors on every website which are using Adsense. So, now it will be more difficult to attract new investirs who aren't very interested in crypto so far.

Its more wise than just ban all the cryptocurrency ads without exception.
I think the only thing that need to be baned is the ponzi and scam scheme in crypto or any other platform which can make the people lose capital and lose interest

i think its the right thing to do since there are so many scams on crypto
there are other payment system that is more trusted to use like google pay, paypal and apple pay

cryto is just a FAD where they use a blockchain technology
but even though that kind of technology is cheat proof

the way it is being used is flawed because of pump and dump

If you are comparing paypal, apple pay etc to crypto you don't really know what you are talking about.

I know a lot of good ICOs at the moment, they should be affected heavily with this ban... I know that a lot of ICOs are using telegram, discord and other new social channels to spread the information, so the ban of FB and Google makes it harder to do the marketing for the ICO, but it's not completly impossible still.
Of course it will be harder to advertise the ICO, especially to everyday people, because they mostly use FB or Google, but this is a challenge for the ICOs to handle this situation. Those ICOs that has a large user base will solve this situation somehow, but most of the scammy ICOs will fail (hopefully) after this ban.

This news about ads ban can be quite good for some projects, which are trying to compete with Google in the ads field, for example, Bitclave or Nebulas. So, Bitclaves' Matchico search helps ICO advertisers and investors find each other, so any ban here just can boost the popularity
