The market is now on a bearish sentiment but it doesn't mean that we are not that strong. Bitcoin still dominates and there is a good news that LN is already on a beta and soon we might see it rolling out in production in the next couple of days.

But for me, eventhough that the price is just above $8K it is still good and very strong. Well the December frenzy might not be replicated, but I don't think that bitcoin is dying as well. I believed that we will see another bullish trend in the next couple of months.

This is all positive thought about bitcoin why not mentioned all negative thoughts and reasons why the market keeps falling and some of the big investors are exiting and also some country and big it company specially google are now against crypto currency specially bitcoin,

Bitcoin is indeed very strong (disregarding the FIAT price)
and IMO will continue to be adopted.
We are already seeing transaction fees falling and soon everyone will be able to enjoy fast transactions.
So i would say in general Bitcoin is growing.

these days the price is mixed with everything else so whenever price is not performing well everyone thinks bitcoin is not strong anymore. sadly people have forgotten that price is not the only thing that matters. in fact it may be the last thing of importance for bitcoin.

the most important thing for bitcoin is its adoption and that is growing. we can see that in the number of users, nodes, miners which is both number of miners and hashrate and also all the different countries and big companies like Samsung that have been showing interest in ASICs, number of merchants and a lot more and all of these have been rising. we had some hiccups during November and December because of high fees but that is solved now.
and finally pretty soon we will have mass adoption of Lightning Network and things will change big time.

The negativity in the market is only short term, the negativity is getting
traction because people are fixated about the FIAT value.

What big investors are getting out? Because to me its a time to get in.

Google are not against crypto, they are cutting all paid ICO  adverts,
This wont stop people from advertising, talking and discussing crypto
on other google platforms.

I think that is one of the best selling points of bitcoin as a cryptocurrency it is able to break the norms that we usually put in the cryptocurrency world. What it means when the news say that bitcoin is stronger than ever is that it was able to surivive the dips that has been on its way and able to not crash despite numerous news of it being so. Bitcoin is still able to raise its prices and the best thing is that we are able to not just stand up but have enough potential to keep breaking the price wall

I'm not sure if I agree with the author's statement that the descrease in transactions is due to more batching.
If you look at the Google trends statistics you'll also see that there's a decreased interest in Bitcoin. This is probably only temporary though.

What does surprise me is that so many people are running full nodes, since you're not getting anything back for it. Especially the high number of Chinese people really surprises me.
