How many people in the world know about bitcoin?

Well, while I am doing a research before I enter bitcoin I found out that there are 18% of the people in my country that knew bitcoin, my research was last year which is almost six months ago up to now, and I am pretty sure that the current volume of those people has been increased by now. I think, within the six months it reaches for about another 10%. At first, it's quite impossible that bitcoin will reach a lot of people but based on what I am seeing now, it's different from what I expected.

Indeed, that months from now, the volume of people getting hook with bitcoin will increase, we don't know the effect of it for now in cryptocurrency but let's hope that this will end up beneficial to all of us.

to know that it takes a survey and it can not know the total number of people who know bitcoin, because it can not be determined whether everyone who knows bitcoin follow the survey or not.

Well, I think most people have HEARD about it if thats what you mean. You ask someone if theyve heard of bitcoin and they are likely to say yes. now, the great majority do not know much more than the name, or know about blockchain bla bla bla... I wish more people were actually comprehending what crypto is capable of doing because it's changed my life and all I see everyday is unhappiness in the general public and all the complaining about the current system, but with 0 hopes for change  while we all know that this is evolving fast and its way more than a "new coin". Answering your question properly...I dont know an exact number, but it has to be a pretty small percentage of the world that actually is informed about bitcoin and up to date as to knowing the name Id say 90-100% for sure in present day.

I could not really calculate it, i can only do an estimate in my country i think the number of people who knows bitcoin is also 10% because many people here still lack electricity and has only have enough money to buy food and others are starving. Considering that it's from a third world country and most of the population is an unemployed.

Well, I see that there are many online media, and non online news about bitcoin. I think almost everyone in the world knows about bitcoin, it's just that their knowledge is limited to that.

2018 now but only 20 percen of people in the world knows this sobe thamkful because we are early adptors and we will buy more cheap  if they have a good mind to hold it until 2020 and i can say that its more  good to trade it in a short than to hold it for a long time

It is really hard to guess the number of people who know about bitcoin around the world. I believe that there are lots of users already and a lot of people who heard about it but only few gave their interest. In our country, there are lots of people here who heard of bitcoin in news and different ads but only few of them believed it.

of course we can not specify exactly how many bitcoin users worldwide but in my own country, the total bitcoin users can be seen from the total local exchange users is about 200k users, this number continues to increase because in the last few years ago the total users only around 50k users only. if in one country alone it could reach 200k users, maybe bitcoin users in the world could reach 5 million people, is it possible?

Even 25% seems to be a big value. In my calculation maybe around 10% of the people around the world has known about bitcoin. Even among the 10% less than 5% people make use of bitcoin as well the technology advancement that happens along with it. It needs more time to reach the whole population.

In my opinion, when talking about bitcoin: over 90% of people in the world have heard it at least once. But to understand what it is, only about 20%, invest in it probably under 3% and have deep understanding of it should not exceed 0.3%. This is my own opinion on what coconut is in my country and the countries I know.

No one can say for sure, but the number is growing every day.
A majority of people in developed countries have ‘heard’ of Bitcoin for years, but didn’t think anything of it.

That changed in last quarter of 2017. Now more and more of those same people are paying attention to what it really is. The market and the interest is growing exponentially. But don’t be fooled, we are still very much at the beginning stages.
in 2018 will continue to grow people who know about bitcoin.

Hmmm… I don’t believe that it is possible to count the number of those that are making use of Bitcoin. There are lots of wallets being used by people ;just like me, I don’t even use one wallet, I’m making use of about three wallets and several addresses. So if everyone is making use of Bitcoin in the same way, then it’s impossible to know how many people are using it.

I think a lot of people know about bitcoin since it's in the mainstream and in different ads in social medias and different sites. I believe that most of the people around the world heard of it already but not all of them paid much attention and interest for it because to understant it, we would be needing a lot of explanations and explorations.
