I have sympathy for your experience. I have encountered the same thing. Many people think that ETH is very stable. I purchased ETH in March. I have lost more than 40% now! This is the encryption market, there is no stability at all!

I wonder how much people have lost money during this bloodbath which never seems to end. Maybe it will continue until the overall market cap is under 100 billion.

I bought Ethereum for 5000 euro in January when the price was 770 euros, and then for another 10 000 euro when the price was something like 900€. I also bought few Litecoins as well. From original 15 000 euro I have only 5000 left now, so i've lost almost 70% for now. I haven't sold anything yet.

ETH supposed to be one of the most stable coins but I really have no idea what I should do anymore. Actually I don't even care anymore if the price of 1 ETH goes to zero and I lose that remaining 5k because I have already lost so freaking much. I even had to put my house on a rent and move back to my parents for the next 1.5 years to recover from these losses if the price does not rise again.

Sorry for opening up but I had to share my story so I can feel a bit better..

Actually I found this is an unprecedented bloodbath. I am just a small investor with a small amount of capital. Around the beginning of May, 2018 when bitcoin was at 9.7k usd and then down I thought my chance had come, I gathered my money plus borrowed my friend friend bought 10 bitcoin for $ 9.1k i think then the bitcoin price will go up soon. But it was not unexpected that it did not increase but it was worse off. Until now at the end of June 2018 bitcoin price then you know it. Today is 5.9k usd / 1 bitcoin. So for nearly 2 months I lost about $ 30,000. Really is the worst thing for me

i've lost almost 60-70% of my portfolio's value.

It's the game, but i'm not worried. I know that there will be (not before the next year) a new pump...until that i just don't look at the price Smiley

I invested more than $ 1000 from early 2018, now I only own $ 140. Maybe in this bloodbath, I almost lost everything. But I will always calm down and patiently wait until the market price increases

The coin prices have dropped significantly, and I'm constantly looking at the coinmarketcap and the state of my coins, but I will not lose anything until I sell the coins below the price at which I bought them.

The cost of my portfolio has decreased by 5 %. I'm trying not to panic. The cryptocurrency market has always been and will not be stable. You just have to wait for the right moment.

since i'm a miner of ETH, even at this price i'm getting very little profit.

If i were to calculate how much money i've lost since max values, i would say 72% down. The same as the value of the coin at that moment compared to now.

if i consider the value of the last 60 days, i've lost about 40% of ETH value.

BTW:

1 the market will not recover to January max values NEVER.
2 be prepared to lose it all.

BTC no more than 6k by end of 2019. ETH no more than 300$ by end 2019. Huge market manipulation, huge amount of scammers and hypers.

I have already lost more than 30%, but I will not sell them. Only the cryptocurrency that really sells my money will completely lose money. I intend to buy some more coins and lower my average purchase price.

maybe you are not the only one who lost a lot of money in this period, and many more lost, but I myself is not much because I do not want to risk with what is happening right now, I just take the moment where I will save and not want to sell it.

I am a long term investor so i am not worried for this downfall. Although my portfolio 60-65% down but i know it is a temporary loss and soon all my all coins will touches there previous highs. So i am calm and wait for the upwards trend of the market.

Honestly, I haven't lost anything in this bloodbath. Sure, if I count all the profit I could have made in January if I sold for dollars, then I've lost so much. But that's the thing, for us holders or believers. We didn't sell yet what we held. So we haven't made profit yet, or losses on that.

Now for speculative holds, ah yes, I lost a lot on Elastic, but I also made a lot on Sia during the spikes, and Verge several times, all recovered my capital and even covered the Elastic losses. Now I just have some of all these, I could sell any time for even more profit, but will hold them "forever" now I guess.

you are not the only one who lost a lot of money ,, almost all feel it. still calm, do not too often see the current market price. Do other activities, so your mind is not driven by price.

I haven't paid much attention to the encryption market for nearly a month, but when I came back, I saw worse prices, which is really strange. The bear market has started again.

I'm also one of those people who lost the money because of great fall of the bitcoin. In fact now I lost about 60% of my investment, which was a little scaring in the beginning, but it is more about first emotions, because then I became quite calm as I am a long term trader and I feel quite optimistic about future of the crypto as a whole.
