I think the rapid dropping of price is due to some people that until now still selling their bitcoin in low price because they want to cut their losses due to continous fluctuation of the almost all cryptocurrency in the world market.
Yes and it's really disastrous, because we are destroying market and the price are rapidly going down... |

The news in term of development are actually decent, with LN getting closer to a release, so I think this is just temporary.  The price in the market is depending on demand and supply so obviously, the reason why bitcoins is going down is due to people who prefer to sell their coins more than holding it today or there is a fud which is fake news that is spreading in other countries which changing the mind of every investors to sell their coins. |

I think the decline in bitcoin prices due to the sale of profits already obtained by investors simultaneously so that large investors can buy bitcoin at a cheap price.
News across all news channels that cryptocurrency exchanges have been hacked in South Korea. That's why bitcoin is falling so fast! No it is not true because people are saying the same about Philippines as well but I am sure it is just a fake news there is no reality in it, if it is true even then the price of bitcoin will not be get effected with it, most of time price use to get down for panic selling so more and more people are selling bitcoin at panic which is making price down officially as, selling more =price fall and buying more= high price and high demand. |

The downturn in the price is temporary I agree on that what I do not know is how temporary this is going to be, when people hear the word temporary they think that something will last just a few minutes or hours but when it comes to cryptocurrencies I think this bear market can last for years, I wish to be wrong but I cannot deny that is what I think, but it does not matter, at some point a new bull market will appear and all memories of this bear market will be left behind. |

I believe that news has a huge impact to the minds of different investors in the market and if they keep on reading negative speculations then it will just provoke them to sell their coins even more. |

A lot of bad news are coming to bitcoin and i think that the people are really believing it plus the technical analysis of the traders that telling the public that the price of bitcoin will go down more and we are on a strong bearish market which is the reason for the price of bitcoin to fall rapidly but i think that everything has its end and this dump will come to its end and we will finally go up. |

I read different news about cryptocurrency today and there are a lot of fud that is spreading even here in this forum and traders are reading the news, some of them are not patient enough to wait because they are panicking which leads them to sell their coins in the lowest price that makes the market to dump even more. |

The value of bitcoin has seen significant losses over the last week, following a period of relative stability. Last week, a hack on a major South Korean exchange, as well as a new study suggesting it's 2017 highs were artificially inflated.
Personally don't feel like this is longterm, merely the market correcting based on actual demand - people always find some sort of news piece to link each and every market dip.

LOL… are you still talking about Lightening Network for like two years or so, but we haven’t seen any sign of it. If you have, then I have not. Or maybe it is not or everybody, maybe it was only introduced in some locations and not everywhere. As for the price that is going down, many has claimed that it will be due to correction but I don’t believe so😑 man this is a normal thing that happens the rate of demand for a stock/asset starts to decline. So let’s accept it, the price will go up but we don’t know when. |

Still waiting with update on what's with LN right now but the current news that G20 seems to be positive is making the price of bitcoin now to be on green. And it's going to be positive and getting closer to $9,000 and if the whole week starts with a positive market then it can be the indication that bitcoin is now ready for its recovery in no time. Can't wait to see on how investors (big and small) will react when there are positive updates about LN and other news. Positive signals from the meeting of bankers g20 can really have a positive effect. The price will go up to $ 9,000, but what's next? For me there is no difference between 8K and 9K. Both of these numbers are very small to measure the value of bitcoin. I'm waiting on 15K-20K. For me, only such figures will mean the recovery of the market. Small recovery or big recovery, there's no difference with it because it's still the same as the word itself. Being positive with the small recovery is good for someone who keeps on worrying about the plummeting of bitcoin. Keep that hope for sure we will be back on that price once bitcoin is skyrocketing and the price can go further rapidly as an opposite impact of the last dip that made the price rapidly go down. Market is Volatile, anything happened at any given time, no one can predict what to become about Bitcoin for tomorrows trading. A lot indicators that affect the price value of Bitcoin in the market, the issue on Banned, Scammer, and the issue on Regulation by the government financial institution by its country as the Bitcoin transaction is visible in their market. The more pressing issue now is the News about Bitcoin on social media, print and even in the Broadcast. it affects the price value of Bitcoin whether good news or Bad news, market react unpredictably. |

It's simply because most people are dummies who only want to (ab)use cryptos as a way to get rich fast. I bet that there's not one casino and sports gambler out there who isn't already heavily "gambling" with cryptos. People like that can't wait 3, 4 or 5 years to make a profit. They want a quick fix.
And let's not forget about all the little kids who scream "Lambo" everywhere they show up. Most of them don't even know where they have their pocket money invested in.
