I would say at the beginning, $100 or $200 is a correct investment. Also you should take account that the exchanges are going to take fees and that there is also transaction fees when you send your coins to another exchange. It is good to start with ETH or Bitcoin. Litecoin also is a good choice. You also need to understand how trading work if you have never done it before.
You can learn trading by practicing it before.
For learning trading, you can try some demo account at a bank for trading. Some banks propose the trading of Bitcoin and ETH. Try them before investing real money.

I think portfolio investment is the best. I don't think we should put eggs in a basket. Even if we lose money, we will not damage other eggs.

The good amount to invest is the amount that you are ready to lose. Use only cold money because it could make difference in decision taking. Try them out and experience them. You will find out your self.

As far as i am concerned, i feel there is no amount you cannot invest. If you just want to start, i would suggest you start with $40 to $60. You can use this amount to train yourself in trading, at least, that amount should be affordable. It will be wise you invest what you can afford to loose. I started with such amount, before getting myself acquainted with trading and today  have some knowledge about.

well it depends on how much you can loose!
you never know what happens next and what that will brong for you!
Crypto is like Gambling for me!
but i like taking risks!
so do your own research!

And this is right! everything depends on the income and the money that you can lose. As for me, the first sum that I paid for the altcoins was $200. I can say I made a very good profit that time. Now I invest more.

There is no fixed amount to invest, you can start investing with a small amount and see if you can double it and when you have enough confidence in your trading skills then you can start investing more and more but you have to pay attention and not invest more than you can afford to lose.

A good investment portfolio can be about an asset of $20k. About the investment from the category of $100, it's closer to fiction.

investing does not have to determine its amount because if the tone intends to invest with any amount of funds you also unless you want to invest with all your money in some projects that promise to be more secure you invest in bitcoin because it has blockchain technology and can be profitable in the future

Cardano (ADA)

By deploying the next-generation blockchain environment to improve scalability and Ouroboros, Cardano, known as "Etherland, Japan," can be a true competitor to Ethereum.

advantage:

- The first blockchain protocol developed by global scientists and researchers using a peer review program;

- Founded by Charles Hoskinson, former co-founder of Ethereum and BitShares;

- In just a few months, Cardano was among the top 10 cryptocurrencies; it now ranks sixth in market value.

Omise GO (OMG)

Based on Ethereum's open payment platform and decentralized cryptocurrency and legal currency exchanges.

It depends on how rich you are and how much risk you can take. I am very optimistic about the encryption currency and willing to take high risks, so I put a lot of money into it.

I think how much money to invest depends on you, how much profit you want to make and how much you can afford to lose. When you invest you have to consider the worst results so that you can better deal with your investment.

Any money you have is good to start. But that money should be valued in USD. Also you don't have to get involved with worthless coins and pump and dump else you are in for some bad stuff. Don't expect a million dollars too else greed will rekt you

I think you should first understand more about some cryptocurrencies, and then decide whether or not to invest based on the encryption market at that time. There are also purchases when the market falls, and when prices rise. I think you should think about it.

I think for an inexperienced investor 100$ is enough. This amount you can trade and gain experience in long-term investments. All depends on the amount of money that you are ready to lose.

I think good amount to start invest in crypto is different for different people. I suppose 3000$ is good amount, but i have only 100$, so what i have to do? The good amount is how much i have. Invest 100$ is better then not invest at all.

In the type of business and investment. The preparation of adequate and abundant funds always has a great advantage to generate great profits. Of course, in the crypto market too. The safe coin such as BTC, ETH, XRP are given priority investment in large volume. Their market capitalization can be seen on CMC. I invest by fixed salaries from my work/ every month I spend on my investment fund 500 $ -1000 $. When the market is suitable to buy. Funds and reserves are extremely important.

There is no best amount I can advise you to invest.
My advice will be that you should not invest more than you are willing to lose. And don't forget to do your research before you invest.

If you are an newbie in a world of cryptocurrency, you can invest ~100$ in one altcoin. Try to learn more about this market, and then invest more your funds, but no more than you are ready to lose.

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.
Thanks for the readable and trust comment .. Big help to me!

It depends on what is available to invest. But you must find out the safest amount that you can let go in case the market goes against your speculations. High and much investment leads to  high returns on investment. Risk is involved whenever you think investment. So, it all depends on funds available for investment, how much of risk you can take and how much more you want to make.
