Yes, I guess you could call it a fork..:-)... I took the old TagCoin as far as I could as it was, but I really wanted to build apps on it, and using Multichain with a new Tagcoin means that we can, and so can everyone else. Swapping old for new now will work out well..

Well..I guess it finally had to happen to me...my account on bitcointalk (tagbond) got hacked and I put it on freeze...and thats where it will stay...i wantd to change to Tagcash anyway..

It was the coin of a few years ago, not much interest of investors now. Low prices are understandable, TAG needs a strong change.

@timelord - transferred 3x your burn amount to your account with Tagcash - If you like you can transfer to your own wallet by installing multichain (multichain.com), and running a command line connection "multichaind tagcash@tagcash.com:3000" - it will ask to permission address, so if you give that to me I will do that and then transfer what you want to the address..or you can keep it in Tagcash and trade it or spend it as we roll out services. We are working on HD wallet inside the tagcash site, but the option to do it via command line is there..

We are not giving up the github address for Tagcoin, we just won't be updating the source for it in future...we will be adding the Multichain code, and any other open source products such as tippit (tipping using any of the tokens created on tagcash, including TAG).

Tagcash is offering a burn and add facility for holders of Tagcoin. Coins should be burned by sending an amount to the burn address "TRCryptoLifeDotNetBurnAddrXXX6gvik" and the transaction ID emailed to burn@tagcash.com, together with the ID or email on Tagcash, or the address on the TAG Multichain wallet node. Until end of December 2017, a 3 for 1 exchange is offered, in January 2018, a 2 for 1 exchange is offered and finally in February and March 2018, 1 to 1 exchange is offered. After the end of March 2018, support for older Tagcoin will be dropped - the tagcoin.org website will redirect to tagcash.com

I personally will be burning 440,000 TAG and will update this post later..having issues right now in sending so much at once, when so many UTXOs are tiny due to minting...an unforeseen aspect of PoS.

Hi Mark,

I confirm receipt of my exchange TagCash = 3768.82 (I had to get near some proper WiFi before the wallet would connect).  I'm just sorry I was unaware of such places as miningrigrentals.com until Tag was past the early days of mining.

Quick Update - as of 21 December we have burned 1,147,372.90 old TAG coin and issued 3,442,118.70 new Tagcash Tokens in exchange. The exchange goes down to 2 for 1 in January, so get your burn request in before the end of the year...

Hello!! I have never burnt coin before.. I have coins on Novaexchange, I should withdraw to the address TRCryptoLifeDotNetBurnAddrXXX6gvik and then post the Transaction ID. Am I right ??

That's correct - send the transaction ID of the burned coins, to burn@tagcash.com, along with your Tagcash ID and we will credit it 3 to 1, untill the end of 2017. IN january it will be twice as much, and then drops down to 1 to 1ratio in Feb/March. tagcash is building a HD wallet and you can move your coins from tagcash into that HD wallet where you can control your own private keys. Alternatively, if you are OK with the command line, you can install Multichain and connect to the Tagcash chain and then send us your address to connect and send TAG to.

Some news, that might be sad for some or not matter at all - I will no longer be supporting Tagcoin as it stands now, will only be moving forward with Tagcash Tokens (which will also be known as TAG).

To that end, during the current presale and public sale next February and March we will be doing the following:

1. Burn your tagcoin by sending to TRCryptoLifeDotNetBurnAddrXXX6gvik

2. Post  your transaction ID here for the burn, along with the Multichain address for Tagcash blockchain or your Tagcash ID/email in the Tagcash Wallet

3. Untill December 2017, we will swap 3 new TAG for 1 old tagcoin
4. From Jan 1 Jan 31, we will swap 2 new TAG for 1 old tagcoin
5. During ICO public sale, February and March, we will swap 1 for 1

At the end of the ICO, we will not be doing any more exchanges.
