you also can buy it at stakecube which is really nice, it's not an exchange only but works very well and you can leave your coins there to stake
unnamed.exchange does have the PHR/USD pair which means you can buy directly with a stable USD coin

To do it alone with full control of the coins you will have to leave the pc on 24/7 and have a fair number of coins to get rewards every day (about 3,000 PHR).
Otherwise you can rely on a platform like Stakecube.

there is no minimum amount for staking, but it will take a lot of time to generate a reward, I will suggest to start with 3k, with this amount you will be able to get some good rewards.
