Hi all,

this is a new project we started as a means of giving back.

TL;DR: Miners can redirect hashrate to our addresses, others can straight up donate, and we'll cash the collections in and donate them to the charity of the fortnight.

Longer story: Bitfalls (my company) is an education and tech portal and blockchain development and consulting company which also sells alts through Coinvendor.io, and DigitalCalligraphy is a one-man software development and [Suspicious link removed]pany. We figured since we got fairly lucky by getting into crypto at the right time, we could give some back, so we set up a project for mining and donations where people can either mine directly to crypto addresses, or can straight up donate. We'll change the charity every 2 weeks and each charity will be active for 2 weeks at a time. People can donate / mine whenever they see a charity they like, for however long they like - even if a bunch of people redirect hashrate for just an hour or so, it will mean the world to these organizations.

The project's URL is at http://mining4charity.eu/ and we'll be updating the site with polls for future charities soon and a hall of fame as well as a charity effort history page with some stats, just wanted to get it off the ground asap.

All feedback is welcome!

Where are you registered as a non-profit charitable organization?  Where is your audit?

XMR is anonymous, so by choosing it we would face potential issues of being blamed for fraud

Where are you registered as a non-profit charitable organization?  Where is your audit?

Both Bitfalls and Digital Calligraphy are real registered companies in Croatia. So everything si 100% transparent with regards to that.

Also, the collected funds will be given to this institution "Children’s Home Zagreb – Dječji Dom Zagreb (DDZ)" which is a non-profit charitable organization

No audit or organization, there's no framework for the type of charity we're doing, and like @btcltcdigger said, the cashing out will happen through Bitfalls which offers this service in general. In order to be registered as a charity in Croatia you need to specify the exact purpose of the charity so in this case it's impossible because we'll be changing purpose every two weeks. There's an option of being a Foundation, but that has additional caveats that we cannot satisfy. We're currently looking into registering outside of Croatia but in the meanwhile we'll just declare this as charitable donations from the company itself and pay tax on every cent above the allowed deductible. We just wanted to get things off the ground asap. For full transparency, we will be adding company information to the site, too.
