We have not seen such increases for a long time. If the price of a coin increases in this way, I would sell half and pass the cash to the money. As the long term investment with the other half.
It would be very easy to take risks Smiley

I will hold it, until the price I want is achieved, if I do not think the coin will rise to the price I want, then I will sell it at a decent price to minimize the loss

If my coin increased above 100%, that’s the only time I’m going to sell. I think I will sell some of my coins but still leave a bigger part to continue on holding. My coins are actually good for long term, but if such opportunities happen, I won’t let it slip away. It is still a good way to earn profit.

I will sell it half of that my coins and then others half of it hold in a few week more because there are any chance the price will continue going up to 4 or 5 times more, because many altcoins was going up to 10 times in 1 or 2 month.

Do you continue hodling or sell? A lot of people say to hold no matter what happens and I'm not advocating daytrading but I think in a situation like this, it'd be advantageous to sell.

Thoughts? What would you do?

Will in my opinion about this, when my coins increasing its percentage  from 40% - 200% all i can do is to sell half of them and change it to fiat for the purpose of  use it for my daily spend needs, why the other half i hold it into in a long term investment ,while the other part i want to trade another kind of coins having potential to grow in the market by doing buy low and sell high.

If it's me then no waste of time I will sell it. Grin
After selling it maybe i will buy another coin but looking for an affordable price so that later will get a profit back. Since it's not easy getting 40% in one night, maybe it's just a dream for me. Sad

Long-term investors definitely do not need to sell coins. You can buy more of these or other promising coins and wait for their growth, increasing capital. Traders of course need to sell coins, reaching the main goal - profit.

I would sell of and by that I may have get my investment back, then I hold the rest and watch how it goes. This type of situation means the market is unstable and that may also be the rising point of the coin for a very long time.

You cannot make 40% to 200% increase of your money overnight  outside of cryptocurrency world. So if I could make that big percentage overnight I will sell that immediately and buy again when the price goes down for much bigger gain. It is a business wise move sell big buy low.

25% I will sell it for the amount I have, and for 75% I will see the market situation if the situation allows I will not sell it until the end of the year.

Depends on what coin we're talking about... If it's a project that I believe in, then I might be tempted to hold onto those coins indefinitely and sell very small amounts from time to time.
But if it's something more questionable, then I'd probably sell them all at once. Not that I regularly invest in projects I'm not 100% behind, but sometimes I do purchase random coins for testing.

I've also had better results than a 200% increase, so it's not that it would be that strange to see.

I think If the coin am hold did 300% is very perfect for me to start considering sell, I will sell 1/3 of the tokens to lock in my capital and let the remaining run. I learnt this lesons from the recent bull run, you can hold a token long term but the first thing is to first lock in your investment and let the remaining run

I would certainly sell most of these coins. After such a rise, the price will necessarily be adjusted, then it will be possible to buy this coin again. But at the same time you will already be in profit.

If any of my coin increased by 40-200% overnight, what I’ll do first of all is to check whether it has some interesting news in the pocket like coin burn or fork or partnership with some company. If the price is increasing due to some good news, I’ll suggest holding it and if the price is pumping just out of the blue, I would suggest you to dump and take your profit because the coin is then soon likely to go under correction.

If i have 200% gain over night probably i am going to secure my investment which is 100% sell it so that anything happens to the coin you wont lose anything because you got your initial investment. If theres no strong fundamentals with that coin surely it is a PND and you could lose everything if you wont secure your investment on the other hand if the coin which has gain 200% overnight has fundamentals you should hold it until the you are satisifed with your gains.Do not let your greediness eat your chances of getting profits, always secure while you can because the market has high volatility!
