If your coin increased 40% - 200% in value over night. What would you do?

personally i recommended to sell. i too selling. always fiat in hand very good. most liquidize item. i hodl the ZIliqa  but time to time i am selling that time because no body knows what will happen tomorrow.

I would probably sell what I had, in order to then buy again at a cheaper price, it seems to me that this would be correct, because if you understand what the stock exchange is and how it works, you need not lose the opportunity try to trade on it, I think this is a good opportunity.

You don't sell long-term holds. You sell short-term holds. Are you day trading? Or are you not day trading? You decide. If you are watching the charts daily, you are probably closer to a day trader than a HODLer.

A coin will shine, and will fall in cryptomarket in just matter of days unless its like NEO, these days I will definitely sell as coins are always pumped and couldnt sustain for more than 3 days regardless cause alot of bots are trading without any solid backup of real volume and price appreciation , thats what I see from daily performance of all coins.

There were cases increased,just the case of how much it was originally worth when you bought it,maybe she's after your purchase minus the X5 did,and then gave 200%,meaning sell now?! if you in minus 300% are,so that it is important still this look

If it was a net profit, then I would sell the coins, but it happens after all, when the coin is far below its real value and increased   of 40-200% does not even return to it the real price

I've had something like that when my coin valuation up to 130%...and of course, I sold my coin right away.
I'm not a daily trader and a coin holder, but I always sell and buy coins at times that I think are right...

200% is nothing but 2x so I would do nothing. I used to day trade. It is not worth the fees and risk if you are a novice. Some coins/tokens have done over a million % and imagine how you might feel if you had taken profits completely not too long before an organic, yet epic pump. Watching CMC too long can become a habit.

I think holding is better than sell in the loss. early this year the market is good everybody receives some profit but suddenly dab news start coming and the market is down till now. But those who buy their coins in deep like eth 500 dollar they already gain profit. At least I do. And I believe it will go up more. So I hold tight.And its quite normal 2x gain i recive 50% from ziliqa and HT.But i dont sell cause if market go up like yearlier ii make more profit from these coin.Choice is yours .

If the coins that I have increased the value of 40% - 200%, I will sell my coins, then with my profit I will buy back the same coin with a cheaper price so I have additional assets again.
With the current unstable market conditions, the change in value in the crypto market is very fast and unpredictable, it is better to sell it when there is an increase in the value of coins and buy back to hold until the market returns to normal and has a higher value.

Do you continue hodling or sell? A lot of people say to hold no matter what happens and I'm not advocating daytrading but I think in a situation like this, it'd be advantageous to sell.

Thoughts? What would you do?

I don’t know, logic say that if price overnight has made 100% you should sell, and then if you like this coin you can buy when it will drop, and it will for sure drop in several hours, but I always become greedy and think that It will grow some more, and do not sell, and almost every time regret.

It will depend on the coin price and the number of the altcoins that I have. For instance, if I have many Bitcoins, and they will grow 200%, I will sell them. The same situation will be with Ethereum (but I am not sure here).

Sell. Sell it all off and take out my initial investment that I put into the coin. After that, wait for prices to fall and then use the profits which I made from selling to buy back in and then from that moment onwards, when I am holding and the prices might be dropping, I would be confident knowing that the money which is invested is not mine and that would make holding the coin for a long time a lot easier than if it was my own money in it

If your greedy well i am greedy i will still hold and when it goes down i would only say is , i should sell already at that time hahaha , but this is the lesson always sell on all time high, re buy at the bottom , do the cycle.

we can really never tell as the situation always depend in the market. I still prefer holding, but when the oppurtunity strikes i will do trading or selling.
