If your coin increased 40% - 200% in value over night. What would you do?

Do you continue hodling or sell? A lot of people say to hold no matter what happens and I'm not advocating daytrading but I think in a situation like this, it'd be advantageous to sell.

Thoughts? What would you do?

If i have such an increase overnight, the next question i would ask myself is, "what am i waiting for?" I will not wait an extra second, i will proceed to sell on exchange.  Only a big risk taker will wait further.

Depends if the person is hodler or trader. For long term hodler, 40 - 200% gain is nothing. So it would just cause a slight smile on the face when checking Blockfolio, but nothing more. Long term hodlers are here for thousands of % gains. I know, sounds like utopia in the current market situation. More relevant question now would be what would you do if your coin decreased 40 - 200% in value over night. But the answer will be the same, strong hodler will of course still hodl

any investor should know that you need to fix your profits! on this I always fix exactly half and return my invested money! I leave the rest for a long time! because in a few years this token can give a lot of profit!

Sell it outright and buy when it has recovered close to its base price. Don't marry to coins. There is always a correction after 100%+ surges. I wish I knew that in December and January. Would have made much more money.

If my coin grows by more than 40 percent in a short period of time, then I will sell half, because most likely it is a pump and you just have to have time to sell during it, but it is possible that the price may rise even more, so I will sell only half.

if it rising over night i will sell it, because most of people would sell their coin too, over night bull will dump on overnight too, its the market rules.

All depends where at in the cycle we are.  If its early in the bull cycle you need to hold to maximize gains.  Cant become a millionaire by selling to early.  If it's late in the cycle I would be selling.

In any case, if the profit exceeded 100%, I would instantly sell coins. Because such a profit would have provoked ordinary people who would have started selling tokens. And without good support in growth, the token would have stopped or dropped altogether.

That happaned to me at laest 1000 times with all the airdrop coins i had, the day after all went down Smiley . If i have a 100k investment in crpto, then i would react in another way

In such a situation, when the coin grew by 200% overnight, I would have sold it. After all, the rapid growth, followed by a decline in prices, and you need to have time to sell it before the price fell. And in case of slow growth,I would keep the coins on.

When I am facing such a increase my first reaction is to stop and think before I take any action. I try to figure it out why are the coins so high and is it going to continue or it is a speculation. Than I ma making a decision and act.

It all depends on the reasons of growth. If it was a natural growth (for example, one of the tasks specified in the roadmap was realized), then I will continue to keep this coin anyway. Perhaps I will sell a small part of it. If it was a random growth, or temporary speculation, then most likely I will sell it.

If my coins were to have an increase of about 40 - 200 percent, I would most likely hodl the coins and not sell. There would be a different reaction to this if it's a coin I have always doubted or had little faith in though. But fo one that I really trust, I would like to believe that there is still a great possibility that it will increase way higher than that.

In this bear market, coins can't hold their profits for long time, because investors tend to stay save with Bitcoin or USDT, but in a bull market, gaining 40% overnight is easy for some coins with small liquidity, and most likely the coin will continue its way after a small correction, thus I think the action a trader should take differs according to the market circumstances.

If this scenario would happen, i would sell, maybe not all tokens but at least some of them just to have the feeling that i've made a good decision.if after that price drops or increases even more, i could either buy more tokens or just hold the ones i did not sell.
