That is not true, there is reason for bitcoin to go up.It is called supply and demand/Bitcoin only has 17 million coins in circulation and for the 7 billion people on the planet the supply is limited.

Bitcoin was designed to go up!

The fact that it is limited and the world has more and more users getting into it means the price has to go up

I make a trend about Bitcoin also but i think it will go down to 6k$ not 5k$ like yours but i respect your ideal because we're giving the analysis and only time will tell who is right and who is wrong.

I do not think so . When price was crashing down I really thought that the bottom will be at $4,000 even though I know we have a strong support on $6,000. Just to clarify right now we are not trending down but now the price are moving sideways I do not think that we will even hit $6,000 or if it does it will bounce up.
For the reason you mentioned I do not think that it is about the competition about alts. No altcoin is even close to compete with Bitcoin.

I do not think that we will drop as low as $5,000 in this cycle, the price is in a loose range at the moment between $7,300 and $9,000 the recent year low was $6,300 and it rebounded from there very quickly. A recovery is taking far longer then most people expected but I think the worst is already past.

It doesn't seem likely that bitcoin will drop that low in this market but if there is one thing I have learned anything from investing in bitcoin, it's that anything is possible and the prices can go anywhere from really high to really low.

IMO BTC is going to continue to trend down and settle around a range of $4,500 to $5,500 at a new psych level. Reasons are slow adoption world wide from other countries than Japan and growing competition from alts.
I think Bitcoin will rise up to $8,000 upwards, because the current negative issue about Bitcoin is almost faded. And weighing the diminishing coins I think Bitcoin will continue to rise. My advice just hold your bitcoin and wait for the benefits of folding. of course, it must be patient do not rush and panic sell with your Bitcoin.

I think that it will continue to go down because to many people selling their bitcoin due to panic selling. Theres also a huge impact when mt.gox sold their big amount of bitcoin in these past few months so thats why the price is still down. But I don't think that it will go down to less than $5,500 because I believe that  many will start buying again while bitcoin price is down but bitcoin is really unpredictable so Im not sure if it will go down less than $5500.

Supply and demand science at its most simple

yes that is true but lets face it the demand has fallen off for now in the overall market. BTC being first to market, having the name and finite by design are all good reasons for continued dominance and no doubt it is the king for now.

Current Crypto market cap $ 297.44B  /  BTC market cap $ 134,677,354,228 = 45%

yet the market itself will have to grow and at this time its barely holding its own. Its more likely IMO to downtrend a little more ( not a crash) until further positive developments. Thats just simple to me also and once again not bashing I love crypto, it is the future but just like the stock market you want to ride the best horses in the race. In the past GE Westinghouse IBM and GM were kings of their domain, however today its Sony, Samsung, Honda, Toyota and Apple.

I like the comment on the negative issues fading, I agree. Reminds me of the old show "Growing pains" its just part of the evolution of cryptocurrency. As an investor you have to set realistic short term and long term goals based on facts and of course some speculation. If it were easy we would just all invest with a software program predicting the future.  any way good luck in your investments guys and thanks for all the comments including the Russian guy Smiley  I will be playing FarCry 5 most of today but will come back now and then

I think bitcoin will continue to decline and will soon reach $ 1,000 apiece.

No way Bitcoin will drop below $7500. On the contrary, the price will soon reach 12K in a few weeks. The price is now in a narrow range between $7500 and $8500, because there still is some FUD about ICO's that are scams and exchanges that should be regulated and so on. Hopefully this will soon be over and bitcoin will increase again.

in my opinion, bitcoin will soon fall to $ 3000, but by the end of the year it will rise sharply to $15,000

Unless there is some great news, very soon, then I am really worried about the long term potential of cryptocurrency.

You could be perfectly right.

Realizing right now that this is a perfectly possible scenario, I am wondering what I would miss the most: the fiat money I invested or the great times I had since discovering cryptos.

I can see the trend and seen that the price being sustained at this range is awaiting a major break in an upward trend or a lower trend. I fear for it to break out down further. There are really a lot of factors working against the Cryptocurrency rise at this periods but soon, there will be a balance too.

Before I could not believe that bitcoin prices would continue to fall by less than $ 7000, but when looking at the chart that death cross is already formed then I believe in speculation the bitcoin price will touch $5000 to $3000.

I think that if we keep getting bad news around the market, prices will most likely go down more... We're just going through a rough stage but eventually, like it did in the past, things will go better. We just have to wait and see.

For example, Binance seems to be opening offices in Malta and partnering up with a bank to offer fiat-to-crypto services, which could be huge for the whole market.

I think it will too. Cryptos seem to be hit with bad news all the time.Long term I can see this going up so ill be investing more if it hits that level

Maybe but I believe dreams come true  Cheesy If it is the price in 2020 that only matters to you, Don't care about the dumps in 2018, you will be richer than today in the next years.

Anything is possible in current scenario as price is dropping now on daily basis and we haven't seen any growth in the price of bitcoin but that downfall would be temporary and we will see increase in the price in next few months so better to hold our existing coins and if you want to buy then you should wait for a while as there is full possibility that the price of bitcoins will go back to $5000 in coming days.
