I've spent more than 50k sats on lottery tickets and never won even the smallest prize. And I'm not surprised because the highest win chance I had was less than 0.01%. But you said you had around 0.5% win chance, which means you bought around 0.013 BTC worth of tickets. Did you win anything in the last round? Because I thought you could. But, on the other hand, we don't expect winning with the very first roll when betting with 0.5% win chance on dice, right? I don't know about others but I make at least 20-30 rolls with that win chance, and consider myself very lucky if I win.

However, buying more tickets increases the probability of the win but does not grantee win. A person with a single ticket can be lucky to win and a person with 100 tickets may lose on a day, if he is unlucky.

The conclusion is that it is not profitable to buy lottery tickets, because if we do not take luck into account, the return in the long run can be only 25%.
So luck is still the most important thing here.

Hi guys, seems freebitco is still leading website and rewards aren't small at all but I have some questions that I didn't understand.
Website says that there is Bonus +0.00000378BTC added to all rewards but still I get basic 0.00000405 BTC payout in each roll.
Also it states:
1. increase your FREE BTC rewards by up to +0.00000513 BTC
2. 57.3814% achieved towards the next +0.00000027 BTC bonus!
I didn't understand why I don't get this rewards and is there any bar that fills to understand whether my lottery bought increases freeroll rewards?
Since it states that Bonus +0.00000378BTC is added to all rewards, why don't I get that?

Because the base is 27. 27+378=405
Regular free-roll basic reward is 27satoshi, so if you get 405 while free-roll, your reward was boosted as promised.

That is exactly how lottery works, as it is a game of luck. More tickets is indeed more chance to win but it does not push your luck by buying many tickets.
Buying more tickets is fine, but we should not force ourselves to do it. At least we should not go over our own limit.
There are many example of winners here with low number of tickets, they are so lucky winners and I believe those were from the free tickets only.

In the last round of the lottery (Round 240), there were totally 260 million tickets. They cost 2.6 BTC. The value of total prize given to winners was 0.65 BTC.
So, 25% goes to winners and 75% goes to the house.
If you buy the tickets to participate in the lottery, it's like that you play a game with 75% house edge.

75% going to the house looks like huge. But I think it's not very accurate to say this. Because out of these 260 million tickets, huge number of it were received for free (free rolls, wagering, betting, as commission from referrals). Bought tickets make only small part of total tickets. So, I think it's normal that only 25% goes to lottery winners.

I know a big part of tickets come from free rolls, referral, wagering, etc.
I was talking about the profitably of buying tickets. I was not talking about the profit house makes with lottery tickets and I didn't say going only 25% to winners is not normal. Considering free tickets, I don't think the house even makes any profit in the lottery.

The game is in favor of those who earn tickets via free rolls, referral, wagering, etc. But those who participate in the lottery by buying the tickets play a game with 75% house edge.
It doesn't mean that the house is making 75% profit.

75% house favor is not house making 75%, that 75% includes all the free tickets gave away and not the tickets bought. So yeah, if you buy tickets you could be at disadvantage but house is usually at disadvantage by giving away so many free tickets, each and every single roll is one free ticket and considering that it means they are most of the time not making any profit at all but not losing too much neither and considering they do have a ton of people wagering on their hi/lo they are not losing that much important money on lottery and just let it be even if it loses a bit for them.

However the reality is, you do increase your chances to win by buying more tickets, doesn't mean you will win but nobody can deny that more tickets = bigger chance, that part is still true.

@Betwrong no I didn't buy any of my tickets at all, never bought a single ticket. I got all of it from freerolls and multiply. Been slowly accumulating a big balance on the site and gambling with it, very conservatively with max amount bet 10% of bankroll and always taking advantage of RP bonus.

Which is why it is very very important to never expect big prices! This was the problem of 2018 and 2019, people kept expecting the bull run so it never came. I am really hoping this year nobody hypes anything and we give up on 1 M BTC because it will come if we do not ask for it.

Oh and thank goodness McAfee no longer will make d*** headlines for the rest of the year now that he has said he will not do it for sure.

Right now, there are over 340 days left until 2020 is over, there is absolutely no way anyone could know what bitcoin could do until that moment. Plus this is more about which price it is closer and not which price it will be. So, 100k means over 75k because under 75k goes to 50k, and by over 75k I mean it works until 175k or so if my math is not wrong, so basically just saying over 75k since over 175k is definitely not possible inside one year.

It shows you that 100k is more viable than it looks, it doesn't mean 100k, it means over 75k, still quite improbable to happen, still wouldn't bet that, still very difficult but compared to over 100k, over 75k is more realistic. I would still bet on 10k or 25k, those two looks like the most realistic to me this year, but who am I to know what will happen.

Something between 50k and 100k USD is quite possible though.

If 1m happens there won't be any btc holders left around in this forum anymore probably because most will get out as soon as they see a new ATH.

Dont get wound up on the price, consider the market capital in total and then contrast it to various other markets.   When bond markets are unwinding in value which is inversely when interest rates rise as inflation is perceived or ongoing in high street prices then you have a possible flow of capital from the largest market in the world which is debt and government securities trading.    
   Only when bonds are off the QE yellow brick road we will start to see the really impossible prices elsewhere and 100k or 1m per BTC is that level imo.   The Feb to July prices this year was a bullish trend and it was quite steady in that for a long while and beyond the expectations of most.
    Japan has been running artificial debt purchases and QE programs since the early 90's and not fallen over just yet, I dont estimate we dodge consequences that long and generally technology is a way to speed up an existing phenomena.  

Something between 50k and 100k USD is quite possible though.

Not this year,   I'd guess more like 10k or at best low five figures and I consider that bullish. 50k this decade would get you laughed off the stage most places, thats about the valuation of Apple I think so does Bitcoin serve that many people every day.

$1,000,000 won't happen probably ever and $100,000 won't happen at the end of 2020 either. Who knows if it will ever reach $100K in its lifetime.

If you really think end of 2020 it will reach $100,000 then just go to Deribit Options and buy the $20000 call option which expires in Sept 2020 (Dec 2020 contracts not listed yet) and each BTC call option you buy is currently $600 (0.07 BTC). So if it ever reaches $100,000 you would have made $79400 ($100000-$20000-$600). Seems like a pretty good way to make over 100x your investment. Reason why is because there is a low probability that it will reach that amount.

I think the top figure might be maybe $15K-$20K or so. Over $20K would be great because generally it should be good for the gambling community because whenever BTC hits a new ATH there is usually tons of new people who join crypto just for the gambling sites.
