I think what really made this site even more famous was when they introduced the golden ticket lottery as it caught a lot of people's attention as there is 200k in BTC up for grabs or a lambo. Now who doesn't want to try their luck and win 200k in BTC or a lambo, I bet almost everyone that uses the site would which is what made this site grow even bigger and also for their betting on sports but I think the golden ticket was the game changer here.

Because "Faucet" is a free balance, off course the reward of each claim will be always low. If you really want to reach minimum withdrawal by only doing a claim faucet without any reward from a referral or other things. You need to claim a thousand claim to reach that's number, probably could be can reach that's number in more than a years if you are really active claim the faucet.

Why would anyone ddos a free bitcoin website, I mean I get that people may want to do that to bigger places like facebook because there is an ethical war about them (giving our privacy info to people and all that) but I do not get why would anyone do that to here? The whole purpose of this website is to give people free money, something unique in this world and I do not think that I have seen anything similar in fiat world.

I guess the old school way of getting past that is to alter router config so they are spamming a pointless destination, no doubt they retry but eventually its waste of time, effort and resources they can bully more easily elsewhere.  The larger the org the harder it might be to be that agile, I believe even cloudflare themselves got caught out recently so Im a bit wary of all companies leaning on a singular point of failure in any way.

We had 2 days of exceptionally high wagered volume followed by a DDoS attack and a negative SEO attack. wetsuit is of the opinion that a competitor is behind it, I'm not so sure.
