After all these years, I think you've built up a pretty good security around your side...

Sometimes these small attacks on the site are good as it gives the true picture of the security being implemented on the site and also it brings up new ideas on how to further improve them. Though Hackers will always try to exploit any loopholes on any famous site.

I just checked and the site seems to be working just fine at my end, and if the problem yet exists then you’ll can try checking it via a VPN. Also error 522 is not always because of ddos attack and in this particular case it’s an cloudflare error, and it’s pertinent to note that I’m assuming that Freebitco is using cloudflare as their cdn. Lastly I’m pretty sure that Freebitco is spending lots of money on their security, and that’s why I don’t think they’ll ever get hacked.

Why would anyone ddos a free bitcoin website,

When you have a huge website like freebitco.in you are probably used to having people trying to hack you, consider how much money there must be if you could steal ALL the money in here, I am sure most of it is locked in cold storages so even if you can manage to hack them you would only be able to get to the hot wallet, but keeping that in mind even stealing all the money in the hot wallet would be a good money for the hackers efforts. Hence, I believe wetsuit must be working overtime during the early days to make the security iron clad and probably still improves it whenever he finds a better way, this is his baby and he wouldn't want to see it get hurt with a hack. He will not stop defending but hackers will not stop attacking, it is a constant battle with every single big website.

There is no adware so it's either a false positive you should report to your anti-virus provider or you have some malware that is injecting it.

Ok, Thank you for the prompt reply.. I just thought it might have been something that was not detected yet. It is strange that it does not do this with any other website I visit, so this Malware are specifically targeting Freebitco.in. 

In any way, I will test this with a fresh copy of the OS and also a fresh copy of another AV package to see if I can solve this myself. I use a combination of Anti-virus and Malware protection and it is only doing this in one anti-virus solution. ( I can also clean boot Tails OS and see if I get anything strange )

Don't use any AV they are useless unless you are dealing with pirated software or using usb sticks which doesn't belong to you.

Use ublock origins (ad blocker) instead. It will also protect you from most of the harmful websites by default.

A solid firewall + ublock origins + self awareness is the best AV there is.

Lord, are faucets really that competitive that they are attacking each others SEO?

I have been going to freebitco.in for about 7 years or so now, I was here on the first month they opened, you can check what I have talked about them, I have my antivirus software setup to check and even use their browser and I can tell you that I have never faced any problems with it so far on their website, there is definitely nothing wrong with the website and certainly not an adware.

However I have one problem with the website, I think the new addition of bets and so forth made the affiliate drop to a drop down menu list thingy and that is the thing I use mostly, affiliates are my thing, could you put them at the top once again? I know it is a tiny teeny small stuff and it shouldn't bother me but both in design but also on psychologically it makes me feel like affiliate is less important and doesn't deserve to be at the top and I disagree if that is how you feel.

Quite a few gambling sites have a kind of faucet from what I've seen but its going to be more limited then freebitco allows, in theory you can just claim forever here which has to qualify as pretty generous and/or a successful strategy I guess.    So in theory there's a few more competitors then just faucets, its all the gamble sites still I'd lean towards stupid kids just knowing the depth of that pool is fairly infinite.  
  
August price prediction ends in 6 days and this month I think its quite hard, just in these last hours its broken upward some pushing past recent tops and possibly a ceiling.    I project a trend top of about 13k, too hard to say as just below 13k or just above that its a long shot to call that one but as a trend it matches previous price rising since the low.    Its not quite as profitable to guess this time as in July which was a rare pepe for reward to risk.
  Random long shot long odds would be far away at 9000+ as a previous area of support (also 200 DMA ) its a decent place to remember but thats reversal and we've seen none of it so its more random guess then a good value bet at present.
