I was watching the landing website for Freebitco.in the other day and there is a counter of "Registered Users" that are showing the registration of users on the site. It currently stands on 38 Million + and it is climbing at a constant rate of almost 1 or 2 users a second.

Is this based on actual statistics or is this just a counter to show that the registrations are increasing? You cannot tell me that the rate of registrations are continuously increasing at more or less the same rate (24/7/365)  

Should the counter not be renamed to "Average Registered users" ? People might think it is bullshit statistics and a scam site, if they look at that.    ( https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/freebitco.in )

The stats page is cached on Cloudflare and updated hourly so if you reload the page and look again you'll see the total number goes backwards.

It pretty much is. We cater to all timezones so there isn't really any quiet period of the day.

I think that name would just cause more confusion. Likewise, if the number stayed static for an hour and then jumped up ~300 people in an instant people wouldn't believe that either. The number you actually see is a very accurate estimate of the actual number. The counter animation just gives a sense of how quickly it really is increasing. You have to be very cynical to see that as a scam.

Its quite common, goto debtclocks and they do the same thing as its not realistic to literally map each unique increment when there isnt a large reversal likely.    Counters that might be accurate are youtube subscribers, I've seen some big channels where the dude maps his sub count to an actual physical clock readout but then he can see when a large amount unsub for some reason so maybe its a practical feedback on his last video in that case, ie. not linear change.

There's a bit of a bonus payout when that happens. The 1.00x odds are calculated on 95% wagered on that outcome and a 5% house edge which as you said would mean there was nothing to payout. So what we do in that circumstance is to reduce the house edge.

Belgian Grand Prix - 31X on Charles Leclerc to Win!

The Belgian Grand Prix is back at the Spa-Francorchamps race course on 30th August, and the odds look interesting.

Table Leader Lewis Hamilton is unsurprisingly a favorite with odds of 1.74 on him to win, while teammate Valtteri Bottas has odds of 5.55.

However, Lewis Hamilton has only won at the track thrice, with the last two wins going to Ferrari with Vettel in 2018 and Leclerc in 2019.

Charles Leclerc has odds of 30.89 on him to win! The kind of form he's in, we could see an upset here again.

^I would say if there is anyone that could ever beat Hamilton in this race which I would assume will not happen at all and why he is at 1.74ish odds, would be verstappen, we have seen him taking a race out of Hamilton already and so why wouldn't he do it again? Ferrari is not doing all that well, neither does Leclerc because of car quality issue, Mercedes is just way better right now at this than any other team.

You have to realize F1 is a money losing thing for most of these teams, owners have to pour cash into it, obviously you can sell and make a big buck but it is mostly tied to car manufacturers, so I guess it is just a hobby and a show off from the companies and not a profiting thing. Hence why many teams are not as good as Mercedes right now, I still wager on Hamilton because he is good but also Mercedes is just much better.

The odds do not matter as I find in these parimutual betting. It will swing up and down but the only thing that determines your winning at the end of the day is how much the other people are betting. And of course your multiplier;)

Hamilton 2/1 win is a great odd though, wonder what it will be with max multiplier.
