Personally, I think NEO is still a good coin for long term investment. Neo is quite likely ETH and as you know, ETH is no.1 altcoin. Now, NEO is 11th cryptocurrency in market. It  has alot of potential and expect how it will devolope in 2018.

NEO is like Ethereum's cousin. Same opportunities, different audience. Neo is more focused on the chinese crypto market, it supposed to be the smartcontract platform for the majority of chinese ICO. Look at the market very badly now. Everything is at the very bottom, absolutely everything, and neo has been rolling down for a year already. But it makes no sense to merge now
