Price are decreasing because of bitcoin price is kept decreasing and it is effecting on all other altcoins. So people are also dumping the coins in the market because they are impatient and can't wait till they make a profit. For profits, we have to wait till the price should increase in the market.

I agree that some coins are just pump and dumb coins but some cryptos like Ethereum, Litecoin have the potential to survive even when there is a drop in the market.
Ethereum is the second most promising investment at present after bitcoin and after acceptance by companies like Microsoft, its market value has increased.
Litecoin with its blockchain of 2.5 minutes makes transactions four times speedier than bitcoin and since Segwit activation, the coin's value is seeing a pump.
These coins will lead to good profit returns when invested in.

The question of how good is the technology and how active are the development team that holds the project will then follow. Because this two, I believe, will determine the success of your altcoin.

Indeed, it is not possible that all the altcoins will survive. In addition to your points, the support from the public is also important. Correction is needed for better future, and yesterday it comes with the huge correction. I'm also bought when the price was high and after that the price fall and always fall (dump). I believe this is the start of crypto show them self to the world. And hopefully, now it's the beginning, the market back to green and better than before.

of course i believe the cryptocurrency market will not die, at least this soon, we are living in the great years for cryptocurrencies, there are many cryptos which are low quality but we are learning from failures to create much better cryptocurrency in the future, so no matter the market is dumping rightnow, i can sure the market will recover very soon.

Altcoins will definitely survive, they provide services and technology that bitcoin are not in measure to give its users. The right question to ask is which one will survive and which ones will die ? My forecast is once all of the regulations are put in place and once  most of the business use cases are covered by altcoins, the great sorting will begin.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now and I think it is the part of the future that awaits the crypto world.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.
