They are many strategies that you can do. All in in etherium is a great idea, you will have a good amount of etherium in the future. But for me, I rather buy altcoins because they have a cheaper price and they have a good potential in the marketing of cryptocurrency. It always depends on you if you want to all in in etherium.

I would never go all in. You should divide your investment into at least two coins, because you never know, whether a coin will be successful or not. So, if your money is in several coins, the risk to loose all your money is lower.

Sure.  Actually just about any coin is good to buy now.

But eth is definitely a special one.
It is really the only one that is anywhere close in replacing bitcoin as the foundation of crypto value.
And on top of that, it is the king of smart contract platforms.

It is easy to buy, easy to sell, easy to liquidate, easy to use, widely accepted, and has an ecosystem of hundreds of businesses.
I know that some people have their gripes with eth, mostly scaling and security.
But I see eth as being one of the few top 20 coins that has active development going on, so I see nothing but progress in the future.

If you are still hesitant, why not just hedge another project against eth?
Your best bet will be neo (or maybe cardano).
Neo is the furthest along in it's platform ecosystem.

So if you have 1000 to invest, put like 60% in eth and 40% in neo or something like that.

Eth community keep growing highly day after day, it is very attractive and needed coin, and also it have very good value, and a promising potential.
The demand for Ethereum keep rising because it is also needed for investing in most ICO projects.
And its actual cheap price is also attractive to start buying this coin and holding for long term.
