Hy everyone I have a A741 and last week the source and the power cable is burnout . the all 6 pci-e are burnout on the Avalon, but the Bitmain source is ok. After i put the A741 on the power in the controler board is see : not any device. I don't have an AUC3 to replaced, i don't have any board to tested. The led is RED on the board on back miner, on the PMU board the led is Green (on the PCI-e power.) 2 led on the side . pls help. No smel , no burnout component on boards, all it is ok visual. http://www.99poze.ro/Avalon_/ |

Hy.
on the AUC3 the one led is Blue , and the small led is Green.(whith no power on the miner) , in the OnenWrt -CGminer stats no device show on Avalon Devices.
With power on the miner, on the MM board led Is red,
on the board with power conector pci-e the led are Green. 2led for 1 board, and 2 led for the ather board.
How is show on CGminer stats (Avalon Devices ) whit miner connect on AUC3 with no power on the miner?/.? ?

Looking for a replacement fan for an Avalon 741, would prefer a way better fan if possible.

I meant more so like the S9's how people are overclocking to 17.7 TH and so on. Anyway to do that on this brand of miner?

some were overclocked with liquid cooling. I read steve of avalon/canaan talking about that.

Is there any reason why an 841 will not get listed in the CGMiner Status Page, we don't see any red lights on it but the miner is not there, other miners down the 5 miner chain are there. Even when put alone won't work
We have changed AUC Dongle/5V Power brick/USB Cable to no avail. Looks like something is wrong with the miner itself, Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this ?

Are all miners on the controller the same type? Must be all 841's. Maybe the others are 821's? You cannot mix them on 1 controller. As for troubleshooting - um, you *did* look at page-1 here right? |

(Eg. from a working condition A841)
This would be to see if the MM board is faulty.

try just 1 unit on the chain the 'bad' one see if it finds it.
when you get to chains of 5 sometimes 1 drops out.

Hello @hagssfin , one of my 841s (which I bought from you) has issues after an electrician turned off the main differential off and on twice. On the left side I see the lower led being lit. On the right side I see the upper led being lit. It's still mining but at 4.2Th instead of 12Th. Is it still worth trying to repair this (are there even spare parts to find?) or should I get another one or something more recent? [Firmware Version] => Avalon Firmware - 20180305

@gvb Hi, sorry to hear that  Based on your kernel log, - both PMU boards are ok - hash board #0 is dead - hash board #1 is dead - hash board #2 is alive - hash board #3 is alive You could ask Canaan if they sell spare parts. Not sure if shipping cost will kill it. Also your electricity price etc. is the key whether it makes sense to fix it or buy a new gen. miner. |

The error codes are all listed in the list. You need to make a "reverse sum math" for the error codes.
ECHU stands for error codes hashing unit.
Third ECHU reading for the third hash board:
2049 = 1 + 2048
1: CODE_IDLE
2048: CODE_PGFAILED
Fourth ECHU reading for the fourth hash board:
133121 = 1 + 2048 + 131072
1: CODE_IDLE
2048: CODE_PGFAILED
131072: CODE_HUFAILED
So it is saying that your second PMU board is faulty and your fourth hash board is faulty.
I would first replace the PMU board and then see if the hash boards connected to it are ok.
