It seems that this coin has lost his drift alone. High diff, no exchange or servicess. Devs have to share their plans about it.

on that note here's a cpuminer I super glued together, it finds blocks on testnet, and gets roughly the same performace as the client(at least in linux).

Nice!

I've uploaded your source to https://github.com/skeincoin/skeincoin-cpuminer. For some reason I had to add the -lcrypto library when linking on linux, so I modified the makefiles accordingly.

I'm testing it now, with 1 CPU, so it might take a while to find a block.

Seem to have a bit of a problem with the client, if I dump the private keys for my wallets then import into a fresh build of Skeincoin-qt (same or another system) and rescan I don't see any of my transactions?  Huh

Can anyone help?

Here's a Windows 64bit build of the standalone cpuminer, I can confirm it does find blocks on the mainnet.
Code:
minerd --algo skein -o http://127.0.0.1:21230 -u rpcuser -p rpcpassword -t cpucores

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/204d4c0bb2ddb54422d3b07d2e5e74b024c3e186fe4b7ec4376c4c273605721b/analysis/1383625108/
