What is the bounty for 2nd mining pool at?

Current balances for bounties:

CGMiner integration - 1850 SKC
Pools - 1000 SKC

At current openEX price it's something like:

CGMiner integration - 16$
Pools - 8.5$

So sad

It's a risk to trade at openex. I think most people are waiting on cryptsy. Skein is worth more then this.

Yes, but at current conditions it's will be a miracle if we get on cryptsy somehow
And personally I'll start selling my skeins only at > 0.1$ per Skein.

We can try to promote it better, do you have any ideas? I was thinking about a cryptsy vote giveaway to. And make more announcements for things this community is releasing. By example for the paperwalletgen u could make an [ANN], or for the android APP. This will generate more skeinviews, and if succesful more miners.

Love the term skeinviews. Also, I agree. Also ppl need to understand that openex is not the leading price at all. The amount of BTC at openex is not that high. If you dump skein there, there will not be much buyers. (I don't even dare to store BTC there) We need cryptsy.

Yes, cryptsy is our target. But at current conditions it's just unreal. I can spend 15k Skiens if someone could give me a guarantee that we will get there for sure
But anyway even without any guarantees I can spend 2k for such giveaway.

I'm still a noob, but I thought cgminer can handle rpc, what makes it to my opinion very attractive (no pool needed to mine with gpus ->hashpower better distributed over the nodes: so exactly what we need at the moment )

The reason I wasted 5 hours troubleshooting...

I put skeincoin.conf in
~/skeincoin
instead of
~/.skeincoin
 

now to install MPOS!

You have to plug skeinhash in the PoW check here: https://github.com/ahmedbodi/stratum-mining/blob/master/lib/template_registry.py#L237.

You can find the python skeinhash implementation in my miner, native+ctypes in the first released version or pure python in the latest one.

You can solomine with poclbm as well, just point it to your wallet with your rpc user/password. WRT cgminer it only lacks fine-tuning of thread concurrency etc (-f option is a tad less flexible) and fancy display.
