Update: Second hashboard on the E3 has shit the bed.

Super disappointed in the quality of this shipment. When I received it, the E3 had one DOA board, plus the metal around the control board was loose and rattling. Now a second board has failed? Come on.

Bitmain is pulling the "Send it in for warranty" card.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I have got the "error" error. If I dont have physically access to the device yet, can I do something about it?

that's up on how you did your setup in the meaning of where the unit is, how it's connected, is a PC/Laptop
there too on the router where the E3 is?

I have remote access to a PC that is in the network and that I manage my farm with.

Sorry for your bad luck but not sure what you expect Bitmain to do about it.  EVGA has not offered anything different for my failed graphics cards.  I send them in and wait for replacements.

I have been running 9 E3 units with A3++ power supplies since the first batch shipped.  All solid and no failures so far.  They are a nice addition to my graphics card rigs at less than half the cost.

People if you want to link Antminer e3 with nanopool then you can not enter 2 URL with nanopool. url 1 only gives nanopool data and leaves url 2 and 3 free or inserts other pool.

Any data points on "At the Wall" power consumption of the Antminer E3?

Any data points on "At the Wall" power consumption of the Antminer E3?

I just measured one Antminer E3 powered with a Bitmain A3++ plugged into a Kill a Watt showing 119.5 VAC.

Avg power 750 Watts while mining on nanopool avg 197.99 H/S
Avg amps shows 6.3

Two of these on a 15 amp circuit just have the recommended 20% safety margin.

New to the thread?  Did you miss late in April when the E3 price was raised up to $2200?  $800 was the introductory price.  I assume the recent drop down to $1270 is Bitmain's reaction to slow sales over the past month.

Hi guys,
I can't get my e3 to hash, it keeps bootlooping afte 5 - 6 min

tried antpool, nano, spark and 2miners, with or without password and it keeps resetting after 5 min

stratum+tcp://stratum-eth.antpool.com:8008
Quentin#0x020f968ETHADDRESS.12CBC06FBEC4

FIXED
it turns out it's either your eth address or your sub account, not both Cheesy

still looking for other pools but no more emergency, if anyone could share a nano or spark working config that'd be great Smiley

Put it back on Nanopool

Url = eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 (or address based on your location)
User = Your ETH address
Password= Your email address

Then go do something else. Come back and check it in about 20-25 minutes. It should be working by then.
It is normal for it to switch between BB and CC multiple times before it starts hashing. It is going to be very loud while it is switching.
Once it starts working, it will quiet down

Yesterday I had to reboot 3 of 10 units that had stopped hashing.  I lost access to two of these through the web interface.  Was able to ssh into them and reboot.  The 3rd, I rebooted through the web interface.  All came back up and are working fine.

Strange that these all crashed on the same day.  This is the first problem I have had with them.

Anyone else had this issue?

Sorry for your bad luck but not sure what you expect Bitmain to do about it.  EVGA has not offered anything different for my failed graphics cards.  I send them in and wait for replacements.

I have been running 9 E3 units with A3++ power supplies since the first batch shipped.  All solid and no failures so far.  They are a nice addition to my graphics card rigs at less than half the cost.

Considering that Bitmain offers a warranty and the unit already contained failed hardware on receipt, it's DOA to me. I'd expect it to be replaced.

I would expect that as well.  Isn't that why they told you to send it in under warranty?  Or are you expecting red carpet service with them picking it up and replacing it?

On the plus side, the ethash network was already so crowded that you're only losing mining time, not opportunity like with the new release of any other miner...
