I think testz is completely out of touch and his generalization in that thread that miners left PTS due to the plummeting exchange rate couldn't be any further from the truth. Everybody knew and expected the price would fall after Feb. 28. What we didn't expect was that the diff would skyrocket and stay there basically permanently. So if testz is counting on miners to mine the 2000 or so blocks to reach the retarget at a loss the whole time, well, he's dreaming in technicolor.

It comes down to this: Either fix the PTS diff retarget problem, or it's dead already. I, for one, hope they fix it. I love PTS and look forward to mining it again hopefully.

I already have a fix for it using darkcoin gravity well algo.. but he said he doesnt think they will fork it.. So I dont know if I should waste my time for something that isnt accepted maybe.

I hear ya! Right now, it's all about an unwillingness to accept something might not be working as it should. While I can certainly appreciate the old adage, "It it ain't broke, don't fix it," the implied inverse of that is, "If it's broke, fix it!"

So even though I personally want it fixed, I won't be the one to encourage you to waste any more time on it until the tune changes at PTS HQ.

Ok I don't understand the whole BitShares snapshot thing. So if I bought more PTS today does it mean those do not count for Bitshares? Also if I hadn't downloaded the new BitShares-PTS wallet would the PTS I had not get snapshotted?
