It is a easy way for cold storage. You can import the file that has your wallet address very easy on another device.

Yes because your wallet is saved with  indexedDB. But we recommend to have your wallet addresses exported as well.

Hello Webd, tested your testnet (lol), everything works fine so far. Congrats, reading White Paper and looks really impressive  Wink
Question for future mainnet when mining in pool will be launched: the pool owner can set the minimum CPU requirements?
Thanks.

Yes, you can, in the bottom left section of your screen you'll see a slider. Drag him to the left or right and you will can adjust the power mining.
As simple is that?

hello. I joined 1 hour ago, it looks simple to use. I have now 3000 .. seems to be profitable. I also noticed the map with a lot of red points and some of them had a long list of IP s. Everyone is a miner = computer ?
Thanks for the project

I like this project! Good luck! Any mining pools where we can join?
Mining pools are not yet activated. Soon after the main net we may expect pools to go online.

I seems like i got here late, I just check on the bounty section in the website, but everything has ended.
Found that this is a good project, then good luck.
The one that ended was a "Baby Bounty". There are more bountys to come once the main net starts, so you are not that late  Wink

This looks like an alternative for NIMIQ, also a browser based Blockchain project.

This looks like an alternative for NIMIQ, also a browser based Blockchain project.

Both propose browser mining. But that's about it.
There's some big differences, Nimiq has been developed for 2 years now, is just an token and also they had an ICO.

This one will have smart contracts, anonymity and really interesting mining concept, just to point a few. Also, the team has gotten to this point on their own money, no ICO done.
I think these kind of projects will start the next phase, after ICO madness. Good old open source implementation, organic growth, clear and intuitive enough platform/interface to be used by my grandpa.

This looks like an alternative for NIMIQ, also a browser based Blockchain project.
Webdollar allready has tokens that allow Smart Contacts in jawascript and anonimity superior to bitcoin.
It will accept 3x more tx/s, at the moment (even more in the future).
And individual pools to be activated in short time after main net launch.
Not to mention it had no ICO, so we all are on equal ground at the start
So I would say it has much more to offer than the alternative.

Why WebDollar is a shitcoin.

1. Pump-and-dump scheme
The sole purpose of the webdollar cryptocurrency is to create a pump and dump scheme at the expense of the so-called 'investors'.
How? Selling premined coins through their website (advertised as an exchange platform).
The currency is advertised as an investment and they are creating hype ("we expect the prices to spike very fast seconds after the release" [1]).
On the day of the dump (called 'Initial Release Event') the premined coins will be sold by the webdollar founders.
Be aware: they advertise webdollar as an investment, but they are not registered with SEC.
Selling webdollar through their website will be illegal.

Videos:
They don't want to register a company because they don't want to be held liable for the pump-and-dump scheme. (https://youtu.be/6YAEtqtL_So?t=9m30s)

[1] https://medium.com/@adrianmihaistratulat/not-another-ico-56cd4c6fe0c4

2. Developers have no experience in the cryptocurrency community

The webdollar project started 6 months ago. Before that, the founders had no experience in the cryptocurrency community.
Now they are already advertising that they are 'specialized in blockchain applications'.

Examples [2]:
a) they don't know about constant time cryptography
"Cum naiba poti sa scrii altfel ca sa verifici 2 hashuri daca sunt diferite?
for (let i=0; i<initialHash.length; i++)
if (initialHash !== myHash) return false;
Sa mor eu daca poti scrie altfel codul aceasta si sa fie mai eficient.
Este aproape atomic, tinand cond ca initialHash si myHash au acelasi lungimi si sunt reprezentate pe 32 bytes."

b) they don't know about PQC

"Deobicei fuunctile criptografie lucreaza pe 2^256 si sunt vulnerabile la calculatoare quantice." it is trivial to switch to a 512bit hash function to negate quantum attacks.

c) The lead developer doesn't know what a commitment scheme is:
"Commitment scheme 101 is used in zero knowledge, we don't have zero knowledge at the moment."

d) The lead developer is involved in mass media manipulation with Mihai Gadea and Dan Voiculescu, he also received MONEY from Dan Voiculescu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvkunqseC9M
https://youtu.be/zraL-jpEhgY?t=14m10s
[2] https://silviu-s.com/webdollar-coin-internet-newest-internet-cryptocurrency/

3. Webdollar is centralized

Premined currencies are centralized. A small number of entities are given a percentage of the entire supply WITHOUT working for them.
This is a theft from all the future miners and users.
The premined coins can (and will) be used to manipulate the market (see pump-and-dump scheme).

4.Webdollar is not secure

The browser is not a secure platform for developing cryptocurrency applications:
https://www.cvedetails.com/product/3264/Mozilla-Firefox.html?vendor_id=452
https://www.cvedetails.com/product/15031/Google-Chrome.html?vendor_id=1224

webdollar-scam, are you the same user who a month ago threatened to hack the webdollar.io servers and asked for a huge reward not to do so? I think you are, you threatened to keep the servers offline if you did not get payed for a lot of money.

When you got banned from webdollar.io Telegram's group you promised that you will talk shit about the project everywhere, that you will invade the forums and say that webdollar.io is not trustworthy. So, at least you keep the promise, lol
So, ciocu mic si pas de vals ca nu te crede nimeni, fraiere Smiley

Why WebDollar is a shitcoin.

.....
.....

.....

You're right, you're better off with some random ICO, 100% pre-mined , 25-100 mil $ paid by investors for 20% of the coins, rest goes to the founders and bounties and airdrops. That sounds like a good plan! You should find some of those, lol.
Let us be scammed by mining this "scam".

Dont even bother to answer to this guy.
Webdollar-scam user is the one who was kicked out of webdollar.io community because he asked a reward for not attacking WBD servers.
Of course he did not succeed, he is just a kid wich beggin for a small attention Smiley
