Digital currency is design to be totally free from all kides of external interference and also crypto currency is so  decentralized to the point that no one can thoroughly control nore regulate it activities, bitcoin most especially can never be regulated the government and other attacker's of crypto freedom will soon give up on they quest to discredit digital currency.

Digital currency must need to be a regulate. Without any rule digital money must face trouble. every currency have a some kind of pattern and rules. so digital currency also need that. otherwise digital currency have to face same damages and there values goes down. And people are less interest about it.so regulate digital money is very important.

Yes I agree with you. I think all things should have rules because if not having rules will be self-owned and I think the digital money from the rules may be the same as real money because the same function can be added some rules with digital money because it is done with the internet if we do activities that can harm ourselves.

Digital currency is to change the world, many of which were positive, to a certain extent, they pose a containment of the government, gave the people an alternative, but that doesn't mean they don't need to be regulated.

One of the core reason is: anonymous, do not track, not regulated digital currency will make form a closed loop technology crime, money laundering and terrorist, and disappear from unsolved bits, bytes, while the impact damage with each person in this world.

If every penny of extortion is tracked, is there enough motivation and courage to launch a WannaCry to attack the world?

I think bitcoin cannot be fully regulated by any government body. But I hope that bitcoin itself at least have its own regulations to stop illegal activities under it. It will be hard to achieve but with the advancement of technology as day passes. May be in the future,  bitcoin can ba regulated by its own.

I think bitcoin needs regulation just to make things in order and organize. Because when there is regulation and rules to follow people will know what are the things to do and not but nowadays, even the wrong doing people will still do it. So its still better for me if bitcoin will remain decentralized so no one can control it even rich people.

Digital currencies have changed a lot, digital currencies do need to be organized so as not to happen for abuse by criminals, and with those rules will make the user feel comfortable.
Yes i do agree, regulation is for everyone's concern. It must be used for legal transactions to gain the trust of people. Regulation is for the good of every nation.

Regulating digital money can be advantageous to crypto investors, bounty hunters and all the people who likes crypto in order for them to be secure with the money they put in on a cryptocurrency like in ICO for instance. But that's in the expense of your crypto earnings too as you will be taxed by government.

the advantage of a digital currency regulation is that our money is safe and secure, so if there is any loss or theft we can report it to the police, and this is what I think is very important legal guarantees to the digital money we use...

People are not saints! Some always try to scam other and take other peoples hard earned money. That's why I think we need a centralized regulatory body or several bodies that has an international reach to minimize corruption, scams that happens on the cryptocurrency world! In the long run it will be good for everyone. This sort of plan has to be in motion, until Humans cultivate better qualities about other human beings .....

It will not be possible to regulate. All that happens in countries where bitcoin is trying to block ... this is only the inhibition of progress. However, it can not be stopped. With great probability sooner or later there will be such a situation that it will be simply impossible to regulate anything

Well, lack of regulation of cryptocurrency is one if the reasons for the instability in price for quite a good number time as inidividuals' sales preference affect the market price of a coin. Also, the lack of regulation is one of the reason for the frequent scam ICOs and project. Regulations can minimize these setbacks to a considerable level.

Digital anarchy sounds tempting, of course, but most people I believe want to feel secure, so governments must come up with a fair way to regulate digital money. Without it we might face trouble.
Yeah everybody wants that. we know there will be many positive things to come when the government begins to legalize and
regulate bitcoin. of course bitcoin will be more secure because it has been legalized, more and more merchants and users coming

It's still money in a different form. I believe there need to be some sort of regulation at the least even though it's digital, to keep it in track and reduce scams and misuse.

Otherwise this just spells anarchy and chaos. Not very pretty.

We should make changes as we make improvements that make the penny more attractive and quick to attract investors so we should have different and more innovative technologies. It's too late

In my opinion, Bitcoin has a decentralized System System so there is no authority governing the Bitcoin platform. This ideology outlined in the original white paper plays an integral part in its success. I believe that for various reasons it is important to maintain this platform for every digital currency. This means that there is no point in cryptocurrency being set.

The answer is we don't need regulations.

I'm seeing a lot of you guys that want daddy government to regulate things to keep you safe.   Are you guys real or shills?   Why on gods earth would you want to be regulated?   Take some personal responsibility for your own security and don't shackle the rest of us with your regulations.   .gov won before the fight even started.

Keep regulations away and us free.

I think we actually need to regulate digital money or cryptocurrency so that we can track the transactions that are happening. It is so that that like what you have mentioned , government can track these transactions specially those who are illegal or criminal transactions. The problem with is that the anonymous factor of bitcoin will be removed.  Well, we cannot control them government but it is actually good so that the rate of criminal case that uses cryptocurrency will decreased.

They’re attractive to criminals due to the pseudo-anonymity created by cryptography and a peer-to-peer architecture provided by blockchain technology. This can indeed advance the economic lives of many individuals and is worthy of getting protection from the government to avoid more than a lot of negative actions as well ass it will not get hit by a virus/hacker.

I do not think that it works like that, i really enjoy using digital money but it has been in here for more than a decade already, like all the other video games which had their own money, and all that stuff that has been in here for more than years.

We need to regulate digital currency 'cause its fairly new and it still needs some rules to hold it in place. Its for the better of the public and the society. This also means that the government is ready to accept digital currency. Government imposed a law in digital currency because it can be a source of crimes. If the government will not regulate cryptocurrency, it can be a tool someday to make a war and will result to a conflict in our society.
