Make a sandwich billboard saying "Stop The Fed!  Use Bitcoins!" in large black letters (on both sides.)  Wear a crazy outfit too.

Go to the New York Stock Exchange on Wall St on a weekday preferably Mon to Thurs.  Stand there from 8:00AM to 9:30AM (when people are arriving to work.  Market opens at 9:30AM)  Have flyers ready to hand out talking about bitcoins or refer them to bitcoin.org.

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=40.707466,-74.011143&spn=0,0.003449&z=18&lci=com.panoramio.all&layer=c&cbll=40.707466,-74.011148&cbp=12,0,,0,5&photoid=pg-x_8wVxww8yzZjma7klq0yg

Feel good promoting bitcoins and get 100 BTC from me.  Get a video as proof so I can pay you or try to make the daily news.  Send the video and photos to me so I can post it on my blog.  First to do it will get 100 bitcoins from me.

*** This bounty expires March 1st 2011 ***
*** Removed megaphone requirement ***
*** Must not be done on a holiday (President's Day since the market is closed.) ***
*** There is a bounty for a second person to do it on a different day.  Read thread for details. ***

If you lived in NYC, you probably wouldn't have time, working the multiple jobs required to live there. : P

There are plenty of young people in NYC who are lucky if they can find ONE job, let alone multiple.

I know someone that may be interested in doing this.

Just to be clear on the terms, the current bounty is 150 BTC (100 from jimbobway and 50 from Mahkul) and another 100 BTC from Bimmerhead if it happens to get on CNBC.

The only condition that might not work is the megaphone. There is a heavy police presence in that area and the use of a megaphone may not be permitted.

He happens to be a former male underwear model and he would also like to see what kind of bounty would be made available if he were to go "times square naked cowboy style" and do this entire gig in briefs. It is scheduled to be unseasonably warm in NY and a male model in his underwear on Wall Street on a February morning is sure to attract a lot of attention and there is a good chance it makes it to various media outlets. He would also be interested in performance based bounties that are conditional on the amount of media coverage it generates. If the potential reward is sufficient enough, he will go for the bolder approach that will likely generate more publicity.

For the record, he is in his late twenties, 6 foot 2 inches tall and has the classic all-american look straight out of an abercrombie catalog.

Are you sure he can be in briefs in the cold for that long?
He could always wear his briefs on the outside!

Is it lawful to be in your underwear?

If it is not, then just carry an extra shirt and shorts.

Agree that underwear is not really the key point here. What is the conceptual connection of bitcoin to a man in underwear.

It would be more beneficial if this activity would stay close to the purpose / idea of bitcoins?

Why does he not disguise himself as one big golden (bit) coin? Or as "digital wallet, or...

Just a half naked guy will appear in the press as a non event or maximum as a crazy half naked guy.

What we want out of this is that the press will write about bitcoins.

just my tiny pearls of wisdom...
