That’s good, being rewarded for the time one invests but why is it only for people who are more active do other participants get nothing?

Well, technically they are spending their time on the platform, they should be rewarded. However, being active isn’t the only thing there is, there are many events in which the user would be rewarded.

There’s also the amount of money one spends on the platform in a month, that also contributes to the gamification process and then to the reward contributor thing.

Yes, they were but I doubt reward contributors is entirely like that. There’s a whole lot more than just spending a certain amount of money in a month.

I just wish gigtricks reawrd people for posting reviews too, because people on freelancing platform assign you work pay and run away without writing a feedback.. i don't know why they do that but it has happened to me many times that i have negitiated a project with a client and asked him in the start that he should post a feedback too. but once i submitted my work they just disappeared... clients don't understand that how important feedbacks are for freelancers , specially for new freelancers...

Oh right. Wasn’t the incentivized voting also similar to this? Only certain numbers of top performing buyers and sellers were to be chosen for that too, right?

Alas! that hit home. happened to me twice. I think its human behaviour , people do want to post a negative comment and have time to humiliate you when you do something mediocre. but they didn't appreciate when you work fine. :/

Hi Smiley we understand the importance of review that's why we plan to reward people in GigBit credits for sharing constructive reviews for the services they acquire from sellers. This way community engagement will see an uplift.

The GigBit Credit can be converted with GigBit Tokens, which can be traded on exchanges and/or can be saved for any future purchases.

Great approach guys! It's cool to know that you have considered all scenarios while designing your solutions. However, it would be great if you could share here the whole reward distribution.

-- Sign up with GigTricks
-- Sharing content in social circle
-- High rated skill ratings
-- High rated profile ratings
-- Quality content creator
-- Top-rated sellers
-- Encourage Advertiser to advertise on the platform
-- Growing fan base
-- Monthly spend on the platform
-- Being a part of proof-of-streaming process
-- Contribute to dispute management process
-- Active members with high degree of engagement within the platform

The main goal is to make sure our user base is happy and satisfied. Wink

As a freelancer who’s looking forward to GigTricks ecosystem, I believe it will help in counter some of the issues faced by us. But even with that, I’m still doubtful about the whole review thing. Reviews can seriously make or break a freelancer’s profile.

I wholeheartedly agree, the threat surrounding reviews is seriously damaging. However, I do feel with gigtricks it would be different. They’re using technologies never used before, that’d help right? Smiley

Well, its good to be optimistic, and I also believe in gigtricks' big bang theory, but you shouldn't be too dillusional, who said to you that these technologies have never used before?? Blockchain has been used and so does the decentralized functionalities, but no one has ever leveraged these technologies like gigtricks is planning to do.

They should but it’s entirely possible for freelancers to buy reviews. I mean that happens all the time at all leading freelance platforms

Oh yeah... on social media platforms it seem like a grocery store for review, i have seen many posts myself about 'hey i will post a review on your profile at fiverr for $5' i mean seriously guys... this shouldn't be done... why people don't get it that these fake reviews are doing more harm than good

Yes, exactly! Not just that, what’s there to keep the client from posting negative review on purpose or any unfair demands, I understand that smart contracts keep this from happening but the client can still threaten to leave a negative review if the freelancer refuses to do some extra work, I don’t know if the smart contract can deal with that.

What you just pointed out is a very serious issue. But you people don’t need to worry, because gigtrick has this option to respond to each and every review that is posted to justify the overall review, situation, and scenario. It’s all visible to users so that’ll hopefully help in lessening the blows caused by unfair negative reviews!!!

I agree, I hope these things work to benefit not only the freelancers but also for entrepreneurs looking to hire freelancers to boost their business.

Hello! We agree when you say about potential threats to the world of freelancing. GigTricks has introduced internal filters to detect potentially malicious activities and in case of any fraud, appropriate action will be taken. Alongside with that, using review responses and smart contracts will help in preventing people using reviews for their own benefits. Additionally, freelancers rejecting critical reviews would have to face the dispute management system. Lastly, to help in generating more response from clients, GigBit credits will be rewarded to users who actively take part in posting constructive reviews.
