they are still existing and just visit mcap site and this one still there. So many problems with it just like my friend can't even take his bitcoin from there even he already done various verification to comply with SEC regulation that already used by polo.
That makes so many people don't wanna use it again. When they have told you if they need your passport and they will be asking more after that.

Not anyone, i'm still using poloniex until now. It was only took around 2 weeks before my KYC got accepted by poloniex and until now i never had any problem on there.

Polo is much better than bittrex imo. Bittrex blackmailed users and forced for KYC if I remember correctly and Polo gave time to withdraw before the KYC program starts if I remember correctly.

Sorry to hear about your friend issue but truly speaking I haven't heard any issue with polo before, even I have withdrawn all my assets from there after doing KYC. Everything just worked fine...

Maybe your friend has a different kind of issue?

Not sure why your friend having such a hard time withdrawing from the exchange after dealing with the kyc procedures, Polo once was one of those exchange who Excel and get lots of traders but now after binance dominates this exchange is very quiet.

At least so far Poloniex has been one of the most useful exchanges for me, although I must admit that at present there are several exchanges that offer better services than Polo. I do not think Poloniex can recover its previous prestige to become a leader of the market again, but I think it still has much to give its users, especially for those who handle little investment volume.

I used Polo a long time ago, probably about a year and a half at this point (that's a long time in the crypto world) For my recent trades, I've fully left Polo and have went into Binance. Though I haven't heard of anyone talking about Polo - the only time I do hear it though is people complaining about it. Is Polo dead? I know at one point it was controlling most of the market.

Talk about a fall from grace. From riches to rags as an exchange I guess

I remember back in the days when polo was reigning supreme and controlling the crypto market, it was the dream of almost every project to get listed on polo back then, but just how it manage to fall from grace to grass is what i fail to understand, suddenly binance is the talk of the crypto community, in control of the market, all project look to be listed on binance someday, how things have really turned around, i remember Bittrex too was making waves, don't know how these exchange manage to go behind now, i expect them to up their game instead of falling behind.

once there is competition in the market and people can make good choices this is the end result, once upon a time polo was one of the top, if not the top exchange in the crypto land Grin but now they are just a shadow of their self Undecided whatever goes up must come down, Binance take Note Grin

What do you mean by dangerous for now?

Damn, it's been a while I heard about that exchange,  are they still existing?  Lol,  quite funny how Poloinex exchange fell from top spot,  no one can ever predict such,  I hope bittrex won't follow such route

Couldn't agree more. This is happened to most of Bittrex's user back then, they are "forced" to do KYC if they want to withdraw their money.

there is no evidence that poloniex will die soon, this problem must be resolved to add new trust.

Still, there are many people have strong faith towards the Poloniex exchange because even i never faced any problem with the Poloniex exchange in terms of withdrawals. Yes, previously many people faced a lot of technical issues with the poloniex exchanges and this makes many people think negative about the Poloniex exchange.

As long as there is no problem you can continue your exchange / trade without worry.
I used Poloniex but now I prefer bitrex and binance. everyone has different interests.

With so many negative feedback to Poloniex I don't think they can keep up from the competition. They are now ranked #62 in adjusted volume and rank #82 in reported volume. The way they handle complaints is the reason of their downfall, they should have resolved them instead of ignoring them. Some complaints are not even acknowledged.

I do agree with some of your opinion, but since i use poloniex until now, it's still working fine for me (hope it will be always).
And other thing i like from poloniex is they are only listed some good coin / token after reviewed it with strict rules

It is not dead yet but i never used this exchange because of mandatory kyc and user interface is also not so good as other top exchanges. They really need to relaunch their exchange to compete with tier 1 exchanges and get more users. popularity is now not that high of poloneix as it was 2 years back.
