Its a big spike and im enjoying it. $1000 increase in just 60minutes. I hope this is it. I hope people wont sell at this rate for the market to continue to rise. Could be the 401k released that people kept on buying. This is just good news. Let's wait for more increase in the coming days.

This price pump coming from a large dip is a common thing that happened in bitcoin but for how long it will goes through, as usual, no one knows.

Damn I missed that! Just sold a bit of coin yesterday below 7k, wasn't that urgent but never saw the pump coming. 1k in one hour, though, so artificial at best. Can't have been the news from Wall St giants, that's several days old by now.

Can't do much as am not really online now. Probably all settled by the time I get home. Or are we in for a sustained round of whale pumping?

I already saw this kind of pump several times, but it didnt made any come back on the price,but who knows this one might our last hope.

at this time we can't conclude. the price has not really gone up because now the bitcoin price is down again.

It reminds me of situation among lots of altcoins in late summer 2017, after the big spring price rally. There were quite a long period of time with decreasing volatility, low volume and occasional price spikes driven mostly by price speculators. I assume we are entering very similar market conditions, and we will very probably see more of such spikes.

Seeing green colour beside values makes really happy. After almost 5 days we are able to see a good hike crossing $7500. Almost $1k has increased in an hour.  Hope this trend continues. Tax day would be a reason behind this hike? If the value reaches $9K, it would be more than enough to travel at $9000 instead of being at 6 to 7k.  Hope this pump remains healthy and do not go back to 6k again.

I'm sure it's a pump. But this does not mean that bitcoin is now going to rise in price. A positive trend in the market for a long time. Whales all ways wanted to reduce the price of bitcoin but it did not work. Probably they understood futility of attempts to lower the price and now will play for increase.

I think it's too early to make conclusion. I think it can actually be both. Or a pump in order to stimulate the recovery.

just be careful about altcoins they are misleadingly rising because bitcoin price went up and it seemed like a good FOMO situation to the newbies in the market. most of them will come down very hard very soon and the rest may not last long up there on their higher prices since there are a lot of bag holders waiting for an opportunity to dump.

I didn't see that coming just shocked when opening my online crypto application on my phone the jump is fascinating at the same time it is bothersome as it might be another bull trap from whales so the news is circling around the wall street injecting liquidity into the bitcoin market and based on their statement they missed the party last year and it might stabilize the price of bitcoin based on this article
the thing is people are waiting for this perfect opportunity to cash out or convert their coins so we may see some dumps this time.

for me this is just a temporary pump mate and for sure it will fluctuate again after  days ot two and the value will stay again back below 8k if the growth rate continue to pump under.  And maybe this is not just a correction price perhaps a bull trap IMO. 'cause we all knows that whales always there to manipulate the price so perhaps they are now waiting to sell off again.

The markets do look great today but I believe it is too early to tell what will happen because of it. Unless you have a magic ball or are physic there is no way to know whether this is a bull trap or the beginning of a breakout.

I think it is just a short time pump!
by they way I read that the reason of this pump were the news that Muslims are now allowed to buy and invest in bitcoins
so now they can openly do so.. make sense actually

I missed seeing bitcoin at $8000 earlier but it is still showing over $7600 with a 9.86% increase on coinmarketcap at the moment.
