You cannot actually say that "Bitcoin is the world's 6th largest currency" because it is the "World's Largest CRYPTOcurrency". Bitcoin is still not part of the real currency that people around the world uses and only 1/4 of the world's population is knowledgeable about Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency.

I'm not surprised Bitcoin is the 6th currency in the world because it was made to serve the people due to its decentralized nature. Users of Bitcoin get many opportunities like good security, fast transactions speed, owner controlled and even investment avenues.

if we try to combine with fiat currency, bitcoin has a sequence of 5, but bitcoin is the new currency at the moment, and the top ranking. I think the next few years, bitcoin will shift some fiat currency. and bitcoin will be the currency no 1 in the future, perhaps in the future crypto currency will be a tool of payment for the benefit of the world community.

Everything is right but until Bitcoin dont get legal status from whole world it is not use of getting any status. Their are so many country which are coming out and starting to regulate it which will give bitcoin a currency status. I think it will take more then 10 yrs to achieve that target.

It will take some 10 or more years for that to happen. In 10 years, many countries will adopt the usage of cryptocurrency as a national currency, it already started and many countries are starting to get interest on making their own digital currency. This will increase the popularity of cryptocurrencies and with Bitcoin as the top currency, its usage will also grow further.

Yes, Bitcoin can be ranked as the number 1 currency. Yes, US dollars is currently the top ranked, but Crypto currency is unpredictable. Plus, it has  seen a constant rise in its performance. Coins like TAU, LTC are rising in value. Eventually at the end of some year, BTC can be the most used currency.

If now the currency is in such a place, and it is used by less than 1% of the world's population, what will it be used by 5-10% of the population? hard to imagine. What if bitcoin becomes digital gold? and all today's crypto-currencies will be guided by its price as well as gold, fiat money.

well i think this is a significant statistic, we all see that the new Bitcoin was popular recently, but it has gone through so many other potential currencies, and it is like a traditional currency. Bitcoin is becoming more popular and more anticipated by investors, I think it is possible Bitcoin will be able to surpass India's rupee next year and I believe we will move to the digital currency system completely in decades and I think the current monetary system does not meet the needs of people anymore as they require more bureacratic and expansive transactions.

Its not quite surprising  that Bitcoin ranks up high in the world currency index, It took the word by storm and most people have come in and adopted its use. we hope that it will continue to grow and  go up higher the rankings with time

Wow, this is truly amazing to know. I think thaf if all goes well with bitcoins and does not encounter more banning from countries or other unnecessary fuds, it will easily be able to go and take the number one spot in a few ywars time. Specially if the current issues of bitcoins gets fixed. But only time can really tell.
