Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency. These figures are noteworthy, but if the value of a single Bitcoin goes up to $15,000, India’s currency Rupee will pass. Ethereum ranked 17th and Bitcoin Cash ranked 20th. Ripple is located just below 20.
How many years Bitcoin will need to become No.1 ?

I certainly love bitcoin and cryptocurrency, but I'm a realist. I believe that bitcoin can not become the currency number 1, because bitcoin is not a currency, but an asset. There is a lot of controversy on this topic and in each country bitcoin is treated differently, but I believe that bitcoin is an asset, like gold or diamond, Neit or gas. It's a 21st century jewel.

I was shook by this graphical chart and I would like to see references and statistics about this. But I would give A for your effort on sharing such idea and thoughts about the rank of bitcoins as a currency. though I believe that everyone already assume that bitcoin is the leading currency ever used, I would still want more statistical results for such conclusions. I think data about this is worth researching for.

The Russian ruble and British pound are used for many millions of transactions every day, far more than the amount of transactions that Bitcoin is used for. They also have economies that are entirely reliant on them, while Bitcoin is only used (as a currency) by a very small fraction of the population, hence why most merchants don't accept it. Bitcoin isn't comparable to these major world currencies.

I think the number 1 currency will always be USD because US dollar used by most country in the world. Bitcoin have limited supply and i think thats why bitcoin hard to be number 1 currency.
But if bitcoin used as internet currency, I am believe that bitcoin can be top 5 largest currency. Bitcoin is getting more popular right now and in the future transaction using bitcoin will be increasing.

There are so many discussions going on around the bitcoin that sooner or later everyone would want to enjoy those opportunities that it suggests. We just need to cope with all fake news that mass media keeps spreading about the bitcoin.

Yes it is a good news for all the users of bitcoin.Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency in the market and is the most valuable and expensive cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is gaining a lot of users day by day and many people also invest in bitcoin as it gives tremendous amounts of profit returns in a short period of time. Some nations are also accepting bitcoin now and is getting back from them.Bitcoin can also give competition to fiat currency in the future also and has the capability to become a global currency.

Nearly 300 replies ago, I offered a merit to anyone that could explain the error in the original post that invalidates it. After 300 replies, I have only awarded 1 merit, and that was mostly out of appreciation for the attempt.

Unfortunately, the size of the currency is not the main sign of success. The main indicator of success is how often currency is used in banking operation/payment for goods. And another important indicator is the attitude of the world government to the currency.

I'am not sure about this information. I am a bit of a sceptic, but how would Bitcoin used by about 16 million at best, surpass a sovereign coin that is used everyday, from real estate to every aspect of an economy? Enlighten me, go on please.
The thing is bitcoin has no intrinsic value judging by Buffet affirmations, so it can be unlimited. That means 1 dollar can move the value of 21 million bitcoin in a thin order book. Interesting.

bitcoin marketcap is near $150 bn so where is the doubt . figure is about marketcap of different currencies . also if russian currency is on low rank then it does not mean btc is more powerful , it just shows the cap .

I think bitcoin can become No.1. Although there are many advantages compared to other currencies, but bitcoin brings a high risk to the owner. 6th place was a big success for bitcoin.

Interesting to know that I thought it has been losing its value but no. And what can you say me about Token Sale project are they in demand and can I invest. Cause I found really good one but not sure - Socratus. It is a platform for insurance companies that was created in order to make the communication between customer and insurance company more convenient and simple. With this ecosystem, companies will be able to cut operating costs, create new insurance products, deal with data analysis more efficiently and many other benefits. Right now, it is on the stage of private token pre-sales.

That's a very nice graphic, and proof of the legitimacy of bitcoin. Given that gold has a roughly $8 trillion market capitalization, arguably bitcoin should have a value that is similar if not even more. It will be interesting to see where the market goes in the next few years as more people learn about blockchain.

That's incredible! . . maybe many people have not realized this. Bitcoin has been achieved and can compete with the currency of the State in the world. This is a positive step for the future of bitcoin. I don't know yet when bitcoin will be number 1 , but I'm sure bitcoin will someday be number 1.

Yeah, It is one of the proofs that bitcoin is a legitimate cryptocurrency that is existing. But i think that Bitcoin can be the number one in the graph because of its volatility in the market. Bitcoin is very unstable in price so thar it can defeat US DOLLARS in that graph. If the bitcoin will increase its price again, it will hit number one in the graph.
