This is an amazing observational idea.Bitcoin have reached top six, this is all about prediction and I don't have any idea but I hope in before 2040 it will be the world's no.1 currency even though it was hard to beat USD. US have a great economy that it why it is hard to beat it. But in terms of cryptocurrency bitcoin is a number 1 cryptocurrency.

first of all bitcoin is the number 1 and in fact the only decentralized currency in the whole world.
secondly these numbers are market capitalization so when you consider coins like ETH you should omit their premines from the market capitalization. for ETH 72.5% of its current supply is premined so its market cap drops by as much. the same goes for Ripple, all of it is released by a centralized authority and no one knows how much is really in circulation.

Yeah i do believe on this because in coinmarketcap.com that shows the marketcap volume for bitcoin that relatively got almost trillion on 2017 made it possible that the bitcoin as digital currency is one of the greatest currency when it comes to marketcap volume and maybe it could surpass other currency one day.
