If it is me, I will choose ETH,Most new projects make use of the ETH for their basis, So I think ETH will have greater potential in the future.

In my opinion, I'd rather look for some alts rather than choosing between those two because investing in btc and eth would give you almost the same or identical profit. If you want a higher profit invest in other alts which have a good growth but if you want to have a secured investment just invest in those two, btc and eth.

I guess its better to invest half half in both coins because both are worth, BTC is rising again and its a pioneer of cryptocurrencies while ETH has a brighter future than BTC, so not to regret later buy both.

I would choose 50% bitcoin, 25% Etherium, 25% EOS. Lately the EOS has been gaining a lot of hype and noise. I would prefer this strategy.

That's why this is the second ampng all cryptocurrency. Bitcoin have have very expensive price. Is it really worth it to hold till the price is explode again. If you invest in the price of 8,000$ and sell it to the price of 15,000. Let's say it the price before the year ends. So its to you what you want

Why do you want to invest with one option? The two types of cryptocurrencies you want to choose are the two most robust options on the market, but why not create a portfolio instead of investing in one option? I also recommend evaluating the options below.

37.5 ETH - 7 BTC
100 ETH - 3.90 BTC
120 ETH - 2.75 BTC

If I am in a position like you, I tend to choose 60% ethereum and 40% in bitcoin. The reason is because the fluctuations of ethereum do not panic, the ups and downs are not too drastic or more stable.

I think both BTC and ETH are great for long term investment. I advise you not to invest all your money into just BTC or ETH. You should buy both to diversify your capitalization. Bitcoin is likely to appreciate very quickly, but it is still risky. EThereum brings stability, and it has great potential. I believe that Bitcoin will be better for holdings, possibly by the end of this year Bitcoin will reach $ 30000

I chose 150 ETH. I'm not trying to compare technology behind it, but only because ETH is cheaper. I would argue that ETH will probably have an ascend like bitcoin a few years ago that will not be repeated by bitcoin

for me, the marked Dec 2018 you mentioned to be hold. the better one to choose is bitcoin, why? because bitcoin is fits for a long term/run holding. while ethereum is only fits for just only half to 1 year term. so the most profitable to hold is bitcoin. but in the other side, ethereum is profitable too but not too too much like bitcoin.

Allocate 70% bitcoin in your portfolio so your investments wont get rekt too much when the market has failed,ethereum is a solid platform to invest in and not it is very cheap than its usual value which is it will be more profitable as we have bull run,ethereum movements are much profitable if you are a trader which is why you should get ethereum,bitcoin cant fluctuate too much as it is manipulated by the big players.

I would say split it between the two.
But if you have that much money to invest, then you should do your own research to determine what you think is best.
IF this is your total crypto investment, then I would split off maybe 10% or so to invest in lower cap more speculative projects - again research is required.
