Let's take a minute here to define EXACTLY what we are talking about here otherwise a vote is meaningless. When I first read this thread and voted the above quotes were what I based my vote on, But with this as an option as a price point ant miner is selling a non auction right here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348747.0 they ask 4.25 BTC for a 180 gh machine. this is a flat price. seems to me we could list our 1 for 11 BTC it would be a bargain compared to the 180 gh x 3 = 12.75 for 540 gh for unproved tech. while we would be 11 BTC for 550gh proven tech. I would probably change my vote. Starting at 20 or 25K but then considering 11btc (11K) is half of what I voted on. In order to make this valid I believe we need to set a price that we sell at, anything less than that and we keep hashing. Its hard to vote when the target is changing by 50% or more+1 (incidentally, 1 share)

I am concerned with the ebay chargebacks + paypal fees We could do an auction with min. bid.
We could also host on ebay but ask the user to pay with btc (with escrow) If we do the two things above I vote with my 10 shares.

After we get the next dividend we will have more house money making decision a bit easier. In a way there are 3 votes not 2 .. 1)do a safe btc auction on bitcointalk----get 10-12 safe coins pros no returns con less money 2) do a risky ebay auction ------------- get 18-21 risky coins pros more money can't stop a return 3) fuck it just hash man hash------------ the next diff should be under 700 mill we would earn 5 btc maybe 6 from dec 1 to dec 13

I'm not opposed to any of the above options, would just like to know which one is being voted on so I can make the best decision. So I guess the first decision to be made is which auction would we do? Once that is known the vote to keep or sell could be made as we would then know the expected return from the sale. Are there any other options or possibilities that should be put forward before a decision is made?

Give me an hour. If this works I will post.

correct. and my skrill account is set at 15k so for them to pay with skrill they would need to wait for it to clear and pay part of it in BTC. that would mean weeks before they get it.
the down side is they bid and we accept and they never pay. that would cost use 50-250 usd not sure if the 50 dollar fee deal works if the buyer never pays.
We could list it for a more normal number of 24,000.00 and accept an offer of 20,000 plus . I hold the btc until it is shipped then distribute it. I can provide id to dz for full vetting.

There shouldn't be any fee if the item is not paid for, you simply open a ticket saying that the item wasn't paid.

There shouldn't be any fee if the item is not paid for, you simply open a ticket saying that the item wasn't paid. yeah you would be right but I am not so sure as I just set up the skrill account today. If you want to list it since you handled all the btc you need to setup a skrill account .. they need a:ssn b:cc c: bank account they set your limit at 15k in or out, so if we sell this for say 20k on a best offer the buyer must pay with BTC. This gets rid of the chargeback issue. So if you want to look up on your ebay if you can do a skrill for payments check it out. oh the listing must be buy it now. I put in a best offer option. Since it helps a buyer decide. If we list this at 24 or 25 k and take 20 k or more this seems like it should be safe for us. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=151176625724&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT the listing I slapped together but the key part is this: Payments: Skrill, Pay on pickup | See details Returns: No returns or exchanges, but item is covered by eBay Buyer Protection. Guarantee: | Learn more Get the item you ordered or get your money back.
and this Payment: Paying via bitcoin is prefered. Bitcoin to USD rate will be determined by Coinbase sell price at close of auction. If I do not receive payment in 48 hours I will award to the next highest bidder. I will provide wallet address to the winner. I will not ship until payment clears SKRILL. So if you choose SKRILL there will be a long delay. weeks. If you pay with BTC shipping will be the next business day.

well I just got a 8300 offer on the listing. I am going to pull it down in a few hours as I do not want some one to buy it before we have fully voted.
8300 would be too low.

So getting 20 k with out a charge back seems possible. BTC payment can be forced or the buyer needs to wait for weeks for the gear. the full cancelled ad is here http://www.ebay.com/itm/KNC-Kncminer-Jupiter-Bitcoin-Miner-550-GH-s-in-Hand-USA-Ships-FedEx-/151176625724?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT BTW BTC is over 1005 at coinbase. https://coinbase.com/chartsOh I don't beg but I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a chargeback free ebay sale today. the item needs to be a) over 15000 usd b) you need a skrill account c) must be Buy it now and it helps to have best offer d) you are allowed to offer BTC as preferred payment and one electronic payment in this case skrill. my skrill account is capped at 15 k . so if I sell over 15k with skrill i would need 2 payments with a long delay in between. thus any normal buyer would pay in BTC which stops chargebacks. tips please 1Fo2K52Rz7LZw9fcF5BDdDBjfNaViQ8J3x this will help our selloff of gear in the future. even if we wait on this one.

BTW, I've got *great* relations with Coingig if we felt like listing it there.
I helped the admins uncover a couple of scams there, and I'm a fan of their setup and site.
==
Also: I like the suggestion of doing a separate vote for sale method.
I'll mod the poll and reset voting.
Please don't forget to check your email if you'd like to vote.
Thanks.
