Not that I can find.  There are a couple of old newbie accounts, but they are not likely the account of the owner of Mybitcoin.com.  It's entirely plausible that Mybitcoin.com has been running on automatic for some time, and he simply hasn't checked up on it in a while.  Has anyone bothered to call him?

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

Better question to be why were people trusting the service (with ALOT of bitcoins in some cases), when noone even knew who the owner was.

Has anyone bothered to call him?

Honestly, i didn't think of that myself  Grin

I just tried, and the phone number is invalid. Maybe i got something wrong, trying to call from Germany.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

The only other option is to go sit by his PO box and wait for him to come check it.

Seems like a US number but check out where his address leads to. He lives in the Caribbeans!

yes people have tried to call.

people are also calling his host.

I think this is the most likely scenario but it has been a few days so the likelihood of this will drop with each day.

Maybe the guy died, and his hosting has expired..

Hence why the server was disconnected.

Anyone got any information from the host ?

Doesn't expire until next year..

Unless you have more details (and I don't know why the host would have given out that kind of customer information), you're referring to the domain and not to the hosting.

The hosting can expire while the domain is still active.

Your closest link to MyBitcoin would be Bruce Wagner, who had him as an advertiser and supposedly knew the owner

I don't think Bruce Wagner had him as an advertiser or on the show, I have never seen it advertised!

I hate to say "I told you so", but why were you people using MyBitcoin in the first place?  By far the largest advantage of Bitcoin is its centralized nature.  If you're going to give that up, you might as well not use Bitcoin at all.  Hell, I know we all hate PayPal, but if I'm going centralized, I trust them a lot more than some random site like MyBitcoin that it turns out we don't know anything about.  PayPal, meanwhile, is owned by eBay, has thousands of employees, and is publicly traded.  They're not just going to disappear.  MyBitcoin, well, .... poof!
