for me , Trading is more likely to be skill ( Knowledge , and experience ) than luck. luck for sure is important in trading but when you study the market you would make sure to not take an emotional steps , you would take strong studied steps

I do believe it's a skill but here's the thing to keep in mind: consider your competition; you are up against firms and companies and individuals who have better skills, better understanding, and better tools (faster computers, faster internet, etc...) so the house really never looses and the game is rigged against you. your best bet in my opinion to invest in project and coins for long periods of time (weeks).

Holding and doing day trade is better but it will become much better if you have some skills. because in trading not luck really matters its like any luck that it happens but you did not give importance so it will only past and you didn't realize that it was a luck. Skills and having a good control in your emotion is much required on this.

Can we say it is a combination of skill and little bit of luck needed to get succeed as a day trader,but more like skill is needed other than luck if you just do day trading like an gambling then you may not will all the times so learn the strategies behind the day trading and then only start it.

It is a combination of skill and being lucky. I have known some professional traders and they understand the market. Although they cannot directly pinpoint what will happen, they have speculation that can help them and always have a trading plan. They know when to enter and exit their trade and they depend more on technical analysis than the fundamental one. Is your friend a professional trader that he knows it is all about being lucky? Well I think not. You still need skills and you cannot be lucky all the time. If you can't take being a day trader since it is so stressful then better stick with holding.

Tell to your friend that's the big mistake if you trading just on lucky, without your knowledge will only find the loss, do not be stupid because then you will cry. Are you joking, Crypto investment is not a easy pick the right coin. First of all, I would like to declare that Day trading or any other type of trading style is nothing but skills made from tons of hard work and practice. I would like to say that day trading is different from holding the trades and for that you need to have different trading approach and mindset because here you need to be proactive to do whatever it takes to be successful here in day trading. I don't say it is impossible to do so but yes it is little tough as it here you need to take a number of trades comparing to holding and number of trades mean an increase in stress and work to be done, but if you are really passionate about day trading and you have the right skills then you must go for it.
