It is very difficult to guess ,I think, that bitcoin will remain the most popular and strong coin even in 2020 .but Ethereum does not seem to be even in top 3. After all ,now there are many different coins that can come close to them.

Can't be sure of 2020, but as of now, bitcoin confirms that other crypto coins highly depend on it and are very unlikely to overcome it (in terms of the price) in the future. Bitcoin is (and will remain, I think) the king!  |

If nothing bad happens with bitcoin, then ethereum has no chance to get around it in price. The gap between them is too high in price, and the price of ethereum depends on the price of bitcoin. Therefore, if bitcoin will rise or fall in price, ethereum will do the same. Obviously Bitcoin, though both the currency placed in higher position all over the Altcoin industry. But there has a big gap between bitcoin and ethereum. Bitcoin is old and popular currency that has large numbers of people mandate. On the other hand, ethereum are not much popular even all over the world only 2% people holding ETH. So according to my personal aspect Bitcoin will go further and will be the higher in 2020.
Ethereum has a great opportunity to growth, the growth rate is sound fast than bitcoin that does not mean ethereum overcome the Bitcoin. Bitcoin is old and ethereum has not much capitalization than bitcoin.

I think bitcoin will always be more expensive than ethereum. First of all because amount of bitcoins is limited, but ethereum is not!

In my opinion, ETH has a great advantage in this competition over time. 2020 is a long time away. We have really good chances of being dead by then too so we may never find out which of these two crypto giants will outpace the other but as far as BTC is still the number one cryptocurrency by a wide margin, it is still the overwhelming favourite to be the leading crypto by the year 2020.
